I've been to Glasgow several times.. and I probably will be going back this November... I go every time Carl Palmer plays the Renfrew Ferry..
However I love Fife... Loch Gelly & Cowdenbeath... lovely places to stay, the people are so nice, and the food seems pretty good...

I agree - I went to Edinburgh with my company. One guy tried to expense a night at a strip joint as a "Bacon sandwich"...
We had such a brilliant time, apart from the work.
London's cool too - I work very near there. Go to St James' Park armed with a bag of unsalted peanuts and pretty soon you'll have squirrels climbing your trouser leg to get at your nuts. You'll need to fend off the pigeons, though - and don't give peanuts to Pelicans. Their beaks can hold more than their belly can...

London...I was there with my bike (yes, believe it)
My father and me, we're used to travel Europe with our bikes from time to time...London was our best tour so far...
We used the tourist buses as normal buses, it was cheaper to buy such a ticket than buying tickets for the normal buses or the subway One evening we WALKED from Hyde Park back to the youth hostel at St. Paul's...what a march
I want to visit London once more but it's really expensive...and I mean REALLY expensive...
We also biked to Rotterdam...In a few days my father and my brother will drive to Copenhagen and I will have a break this year BUT we planned to make a tour to Paris soon...I'm looking forward to that...
Scotland...unfortunately I was never there...but I saw lot's of scots here in germany...Celtic and Rangers Fans on their way to Champions-League games in germany...holy sh*t, they can drink A LOT of beer ...

I went to see Carl Palmer play the leisure center in Loch Gelly. I was calling it Lock Jelly... after all I am a southern american and prone to mispronouncing all foreign pronunciations...
So when they told me the correct pronunciation, they said that if you don't spit when you say it, you haven't said it correctly....
Also I wanted to take some straight forward pictures so I walked in a few hours before the show and asked them if they had any tickets left on the front row... and she smiled and said we've been saving the front row center seat just for you... WOW!! And the bleeding ticket only cost me L7. So after the show, my buddy Carl says to me.."So exactly what did you do to get that seat??" He thinks he knows me so well....

I sat through the whole of that awful tv series "Monarch Of The Glen" just for the sake of Dawn Steele, recently voted the second most desirable woman in Scotland. Not only is she spectacularly cute but when she speaks.........!!
Makes me wonder though: If she took second place on that list: Which vision of loveliness managed to beat her to the first place? They didn't say. Boggles the mind who could possibly have beaten Dawn!

Not as good as Scotland??? London is excellent and a very funky place to be. As a Londoner of some thirty five years I only need mention the crap transport system, the unfriendly strangers, the muggers, crack addicts, overpriced goods, crap transport system, sh*te weather, the constant target of global terrorism and the crap transport system.
And you prefer Scotland????

I went to Scotland once, and found myself in an unfamiliar town. Since I could not understand the Scottish accent when the people spoke quickly, I went into the nearest place that served food and asked the young lady behind the counter if she could tell me, very slowly, the name of this place.
She said:
Burrr-gerrr Kiiiiiing.

O Flower of Scotland, When will we see Your like again, That fought and died for, Your wee bit Hill and Glen, And stood against him, Proud Edward's Army, And sent him homeward, Tae think again.
The Hills are bare now, And Autumn leaves lie thick and still, O'er land that is lost now, Which those so dearly held, That stood against him, Proud Edward's Army, And sent him homeward, Tae think again.
Those days are past now, And in the past they must remain, But we can still rise now, And be the nation again, That stood against him, Proud Edward's Army, And sent him homeward, Tae think again.
0 Flower of Scotland, When will we see your like again, That fought and died for, Your wee bit Hill and Glen, And stood against him, Proud Edward's Army, And sent him homeward, Tae think again.
