There's a lot discussed about Thick As A Brick and A Passion
Play. I want to raise my cup for The Chateau D'isaster Tapes -
by my opinion a very underrated piece of art, wich actually is
the "groundwork" for A Passion Play. What do you think?

I know the pieces fit cuz I watched them fall away.

The Chateau D'isaster Tapes are a great piece of art indeed!!!

There's something which didn't feature on the official 1973 album: the animals' cycle! (Animelée, Tiger Toon, Look at the Animals, Law of the Bungle- pt. 1 and 2, this last features in it for parts of its arrengements ).

BTW in the Nightcap double album there's all that aborted work (first disc) and I've said in my review that the first disc deserves a five star rating!!!

I first listened to those tapes on the 20 Years of Jethro Tull boxset in 1988. I thought they were just as good as Passion Play. For some reason, Ian Anderson was not happy with it and decided to rework it all at a different location and it became Passion Play. I can't quite remember the full story any more about why Ian didn't like it.

I fall into the mainstream though and personally prefer Thick as a Brick.
