Caught the show on Monday evening at the Cliffs Pavillion, Southend on Sea.

Lake has an awesome band! They performed the Crimson and ELP songs with an emphasis on the guitars of Florian Ophale and Lake himself. Lake did not play bass at all. Ophale, at just 22, clearly has a very bright future and should join the pantheon of guitar heroes.

The version of Pictures at an Exhibition was incredibly loud.

The tour seems to be gigs at provincial theatres, along with dates in Manchester & Birmingham. Surprisingly, there is no London date, the nearest being Croydon.

Hi Popesta;

I`m curious; How were  Lake`s vocal performances? Im a huge fan of Greg lake and while his voice is not the same as it was in the 70`s, I think it has gotten a bit better since he quit smoking..
