Fellow prog listeners,

I'm new to the forums. I came here looking for a discussion on Eivor but I couldn't find one. It took me by surprise, because I regard her as highly interesting musician for prog listeners. I even believe her last album could even make her way into PA charts.

She does some type of neofolk and art pop, I believe. She's unique in my music collection.
My intention is to share her music to the prog community.

I first fell in love with her album Slor. Not one song feels proggy, but the whole album goes through an interesting transformation. I rated it as a solid 5 stars for many years in my collection.

She then released Segl, which was a bit to poppy for me, but her live performance of Gulspunin, the last song of the album, fits the top of my favorite live performances.

Last year I got my favorite album from her. She started experimenting with darker sounds in the release, which I loved and couldn't stop replaying during the first month of its release. Song structures are varied here. I'm amazed at how much she accomplished with these songs that are not overly complex, but she never repeats a formula in this record.

And if you are into the more folkier stuff, please check the music she did for The Last Kingdom Series. The second album she did along side John Lunn and Danny Saul is terrific. It also is in my top prog folk albums. I value this album as a masterpiece of prog folk. It is emotional, varied and rich. It is not just background music for the series. I'm watching the series now just to see the music in context (and I'm also loving the series now).

That is all. I hope you give her a chance Smile
