The return of Swedish prog/fusion legends Freak Kitchen, exactly six years after their last visit, and an impressive opening set by Fanalo & Friends.

Fanalo kicked things off with a masterclass in melodic and technical Prog Rock. Sharp riffs, fluid solos, and a standout vocal performance gave their set a strong identity. Some compositions even echoed Transatlantic, with highlights like Tribes and Rise captivating the crowd.

Then came Freak Kitchen, and as always, they didn’t disappoint. Mattias "IA" Eklundh and his crew delivered a high-energy set blending jaw-dropping musicianship, humor, and audience interaction. The setlist spanned their discography, with new tracks like Down the Drain alongside classics like Propaganda Pie and Speak When Spoken To. The crowd was fully engaged, laughing at Mattias’ absurd improvisations (his obsession with “Cristalline” water was priceless) and even learning a bit of Swedish.

The night ended on a high note with an unexpected encore of Nobody’s Laughing, sealing the deal on what was more than just a concert—it was an injection of pure joy. If you haven’t seen Freak Kitchen live, fix that ASAP!
