Enumclaw is the kosmische musik project of American multi-instrumentalist Norman Fetter, founder of krautrock ensemble Niagara Falls. Fetter is additionally the former bassist of Golden Ball and Espers, and continues to explore prog-electronic music with fellow Niagara Falls bandmate Sam Cusumano and their Tathagatta duo. While Fetter's brainchild is named after a city in Washington State, Enumclaw is actually based in Spring City, Pennsylvania, performing a blissed-out and droning soporific ambient which links his love for the krautrock of Kraftwerk and Harmonia and the minimalism of Terry Riley (though Enumclaw's sound heavily favours the latter).
Along with a Bandcamp-exclusive EP and live recording, Enumclaw's humble discography consists of three LPs: 2009's Opening of the Dawn (released through Fetter's own Honeymoon Music label), 2010's Painted Valley of the Mineral Monks (via Deep Water Acres) and 2013's Holographic Headdress (on Sacred Phrases).
Fans of Bitchin Bajas, J.D. Emmanuel, Teleplasmiste and Mother Mallard's Portable Masterpiece Company are encouraged to listen further.
