I don't fully trust his claim that "a lot of us" think that, but hey. We are our own worst critics. So, I'm making an actual public poll. Perhaps I am not the friendliest user here. Perhaps I need to open up a bit more? Maybe you guys would point out what I need to work on in order to become a better person. I don't want to delude myself with selfishness if there is any and I'd really want to see what you guys think how my interactions with this community can be improved.

I won't say that I have sufficient basis to answer your rather serious poll question, as I haven't seen enough of your posts. What I've seen haven't looked that bad to me, even I've also seen some posts which I definitely couldn't approve. Like for instance when you accused jamesbaldwin for wanting to start a flamewar about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, or Israeli-Hamas as you call it.

My advice can be, be carefull to keep PA's ethical rules and no personal attacks - keep to the topics. Smile

Nah, you're fine. But then again I may be a jerk myself. I know there's at least a handful here that do not care for my tone or whatever. I write very impulsively and don't know excactly where I'm going when I start. And I usually post exactly what I feel like in the moment. Maybe that's what you do too? There will always be people who you communicate badly with. That's ok. You can't win them all.

We all have our flaws (moi aussi Embarrassed ), but AFA politics is concerned, I recently backed the ban (I was previously for letting them happen for 20y), because it was going directly to insulting (as you just did in the "ignore function" thread).

I won't even vote, because you already know my answer for the last few months , but for years before, just know that you didn't ruffle my feathers.

Just to make things clear, I apologized for that insensitive joke I made in August (the one to which Mike reacted). And if you look at the history, I have not repeated such a mistake ever again since then. B)

Just a proof that you can in fact take what people tell you about your behavior and work on your ego to become a better person.

As for the alleged insult. It was not an insult. I know your English proficiency is poor, Sean, and sometimes you twist the meaning of people's posts in English, according to the state of the English language as it was 15+ years ago. Like, for instance where you misunderstood the term "boomer". So please, bear with me.

My true intention was to point out the rude tone of Sean Trane's post, a very distinctive egotistic style that may be understood as a bad personality trait, in order to make him notice his flaws and consider becoming less rude.

I guess the worst thing that can be done is to continue antagonizing each other. I'd suggest putting aside our differences, and just respectfully disagree.

Also, I love how people are anonymously voting in this poll yet nobody explains their vote or even admit what option they picked in the forum section. A way to completely discard the reason for the poll to exist. xD

After what I have read in the home page of your website I personally don't think so, even if for I while I've had this impression. This is not because of the reggaeton, I've found it fun even if I'm not sure that being fun was your intention.
There's only one of the things that you have written in that thread that I'd like to discuss with you. but it would cause the thread to be closed, so I'll eventually PM you.

My english is certainly no worse than yours. Don't play on words with the two meanings of "jerk". You clearly meant it as an insult and not a sudden uncontrolled movement. It was totally uncalled for on a thread that had been dormant for 6 weeks until someone made an uneeded comment

Sorry, but this has gone well to the point of being rude to you. The accumulation of small incidents (I'd actually forgotten the Boomer incident, thx for reminding me Dead

) and the PA bashing on PE, etc...

Apologizing everytime doesn't erase what was said. Forgive doesn't mean forget, especially that new incidents keep happening.

For this thread, you didn't need to mention me in the OP, and if you'd abstained, i wouldn't be here chewing the fat with you.

So now, you're calling a truce after you've thrown a final salvo (at least you hope), right? I propose that we end it here now that I've made the score even.

Hrychu managed to change the offensive picture of the Swedish band A being thrown into the garbage (on his own account, it was a racist drawing) and I said it was thoughless of him (as usual) and Mike agreed and they took onto each other. It's that much weirder that he managed that the original picture I quoted has also changed.

Repeated small incidents make bigger ones out of accumulation.

It's rather fine you (Hrychu) question yourself, though (if that's your real intent, but let me wonder), but you didn't need to carry it out in public, involving me.
