Happy birthday Jon. Thank you for all these years of inspiring music. May you be blessed this day, and for the rest of your life.

It makes me think to how old am I.
The last time I've seen Jon on stage was in 1987. Only 37 years ago.

I've always loved his voice

Hi,

I'm not sure I want to see Jon in a cane and walking 10ft in 10 minutes, though seems to still have the singing ability, though I find that he is toning it down, probably due to lack of oxygen.

But he has done some beautiful things over the years and I do not want to EVER forget the best concert I have ever seen ... YES at The Long Beach Arena doing TFTO way back, the last tour (at the time) that RW played with them ... I came out of the concert hall at the end, crying ... the majority of folks were there for Roundabout and CTTE ... it was a gross shame that the audience could not appreciate the composition ability and talent that was just in front of them, and allow RW to go out and trash TFTO so his solo albums would look better ... and they aren't!

But there is a time ... when ... really ... dude ... go enjoy the flowers and the clean air ... not the concert hall! The same for many others!

I think that I've celebrated this by becoming fond of Fragile as the third one of Yes albums, and I'll listen to it today as well. Tongue

For lyrics I find Jon and Vangelis superior than Yes. The Friends Of Mr Cairo is such a brilliant song and heartfelt. That gave him a very surprising outlet after the demise of the classic Yes line up at the back end of the seventies. Songs such as I Hear You Now and I'll Find My Way Home truly distilled what was great about JA. State Of Independence was also one of the most spiritual almost gospel songs of the 80's. Loving the recent album with The Band Geeks. Seems there is more to come.

My friend, Curt, took this photo of Jon at the Yes "Solo Albums Tour" show in Chicago, August 15, 1976.   It is by far my favorite photo of him!!  Happy Birthday, Jon!

Please note above that I have (ineptly) attempted to post a cherished photograph from May of 2016 at a club in Austin, TX of Jon Anderson with H. Eldon Wood (1959-2019), a great friend and most authentic fan of Yes.
On behalf of Eldon, “Happy Birthday, Jon, and congratulations on your album with the Band Geeks, “True!”

We'd love to see it!  Upload it to your "File Manager" on your Member Control Panel!  It takes a bit of playing around, but that is a great feature of PA!  Here's a cherished photo of Steve Howe from the same concert!

As I wrote earlier in this thread, I now like three of Yes' albums, so if I met this old guy, I'm afraid that I had to tell him, "I like three of Yes' classic albums but none of the later ones which I know". Embarrassed
