There are many bands and artists that you might be enamoured with for which you don't see any appreciation and conversation/comments about, at least at PA (and at least in the forum if included in PA), except perhaps by yourself or in response to you. That doesn't mean it does not exist, of course, but you have not noticed it or at least remembered it. Please try to share a video or two if you can and describe the act/acts.
One favourite of mine over the past year has been Beach House (from Baltimore), but I don't recall seeing anyone else saying they like it (and I've mentioned it quite a few times).
Here are or two of my favourite tracks by Beach House, from Bloom (2012) and Once Twice Melody (2022). I like the videos, the second is fan-made taking scenes from an old film and the first is quite absurd.
Rateyourmusic describes Beach House as Dream Pop, Indie Pop, Neo-Psychedelia, Shoegaze, Indietronica, Bedroom Pop.
A more recent favourite of mine is the not-in-PA post rock band BRUIT ≤ from France. It one has one album so far, which is The Machine Is Burning and Now Everyone Knows It Could Happen Again from 2023. A very post-rock title.
I adore this:
Another recent discovery of mine that I really like is Oneohtrix Point Never, which is the project of Daniel Lopatin from the US. rateyourmusic describes his music as Progressive Electronic, Ambient, Glitch, Electronic, Art Pop, Neo-Psychedelia. I have listened the nmost to his albums Garden of Delete (2015) and R Plus Seven (2013).
I adore this:
So what are some of yours?

I never see any love for fusion group Giger Lenz Marron; they were even turned down for inclusion in the PA archve...they consist of former Dzyan members Eddy Marron on guitar, and drummer Peter Giger with German jazz bassist Guenter Lenz...kind of a slightly jazzier version of Dzyan...I love their sound immensely, and wish I had more "kindred spirits". Here is their first album "Beyond" in it's entirety....released in 1977.

And something from Giger Lenz Marron's second album, "Where The Hammer Hangs", released in 1978.

Zeigen, wo der Hammer hängt
Tool in use: der Hammer (hammer)
Literally ‘Show where the hammer hangs’, this phrase is used when you
want to show someone what’s what, set some boundaries, make things
clear. You might hear the phrase ‘Ich zeige dir, wo der Hammer hängt!’
(‘I’ll show you where the hammer hangs!’) whilst having a heated debate
or argument.

Not sure whether anyone but me has talked about Tyondai Braxton's solo work (formerly in Battles, son of experimental jazz giant Anthony Braxton).

A great album, released six months ago and on its way to being overlooked:

While I don't count Beach House among my
favorites as such, I really like their Bloom-album, and haven't heard
anything I do not enjoy. I've just forgotten them somewhat over the
years. I was reminded of them because of Space Song - which has
seemingly gone viral on tiktok or something (with over a billion plays
on Spotify by now. That's like more than any Pink Floyd song). I've
heard it played in a bar and on the radio, and I recognised and
rediscovered their familiar sound. So lately I've just started picking
up where I left.
-Anyway, I seem to be alone loving this band that I stumbled a song by (the gorgeous Flytta)
while listening to a Radio special by Geir Jenssen (=Biosphere, whom I
also love) for a Ukraine-based station. I think they've actually managed
to carve out a uniquely contemporary-sounding progressive folk niche
for themselves, that feels deeply rooted, traditional and "brand new"
simultanously.

I love both their first and second album - and discovered them thanks to you mentioning them here at PA.

Placebo. They were a band that came out of nowhere it seemed back in the 90's and their recent album is one of their best. They follow my general interest in 3 peice bands.

^ Richard: I actually was listening to some of that Placebo with the 1998 album Without You I'm Nothing within the last couple of months as I was looking to explore more music. Never Let Me Go, the name of the most recent album is the title of one of my very favourite novels, by the way. I first remember coming across that Placebo name because there is a jazz-fusion Placebo that I love from the early 70s.
Saperlipopette!: I don;t use Tik Tok but one of my children is very big on it and I mentioned that he might want to check out Beach House and only then later he told me that a song was popular by the band on Tik Tok. The album it's off, Depression Cherry is very good imo. Loved listening to Ævestaden. Will be checking out more.
Doug: I also like Giger Lenz Marron, which I discovered thanks to you. :)
Thanks all for your responses.

My favourite Italian band Novecento doesn't get much of a mention here, even though they topped the Italian charts in 1984. Oh Well, Moving On...

Yes
Depression Cherry is the one I've listened to after having been
reminded of them. it's great. Thay always are. Glad you enjoy Ævestaden.
They are my just the perfect band for me right now. Actually not so far from
Dream Pop. In atmosphere. Sometimes.

^ Saperlipopette!: It's really wonderful, very atmospheric and "dreamy". I see that Ævestaden & Kanaan are set to release the album Langt, Langt Vekk on October 11, 2024. It could be a rather interesting collaboration.
^^ Paul, to be honest, not surprised such music would not get many mentions here. That song rather epitomises what I didn't like about music of the time at the time. I am more partial to such thing now, however. I like much synth pop, and I like plenty of Italo-Disco.
^^^ Mellotronwave: Cool that you know and like both Placebos. Thanks for the info. PA has it as:
- Marc Moulin / keyboards, synthesizers - Nick Fissette / trumpet - Richard Rousselet / trumpet, other horns - Alex Scorier / saxes, flute - Frans Van Dijk / trombone - Johnny Dover / bass clarinet, saxophone, flute - Francis Weyer / guitars bass - Nick Kletchkovski / bass - Freddy Rottier / drums, percussions - Garcia Morales / drums - Yvan de Souter / bass - Philip Catherine / guitar
