I just saw Porcupine Tree the other night at the Moore Theater, in Seattle and I didn't catch the name of the opening band. I'm simply curious to know who it was, since I don't think they said who they were and they weren't advertised beforehand.

On another note, Porcupine Tree was stellar. Definately, one of the best shows I've ever been to and probably the best sound, too. We had a very classy audience too, which is nice because I'm sick of hearing audience members constantly yelling and interrupting songs.

PT's set-list for the night of October 18th, 2005 was...

1. Open Car
2. Blackest Eyes
3. Lazarus
4. Hatesong
5. Don't Hate Me
6. Signify
7. Mellotron Scratch
8. So Called Friend
9. Arriving Somewhere but Not Here
10. Heartattack in a Layby
11. The Start of Something Beautiful
12. Halo
Encore
13. Radioactive Toy
14. Trains

Peace & take care

I read in a magazine that they recorded two shows with entirely different setlist for a DVD, so they must have a really big pool of songs to choose from.

I'm looking forward to seeing them on Nov 29th in Germany ... I hope I also get to see Fripp!

Yeah, the setlist varied quite a bit over the 2 nights at Park West but
weren't completely different.

You won't get to see Fripp in Germany as he is only doing the UK dates in
Europe.

Anyway, quick plug time: for up to date news and gossip and all sorts on
PT nip on over to the unofficial PT forum at -

I saw Porcupine Tree the night before in Portland, and the opening band there was Marjorie Fair. They mentioned that they would be opening for Porcupine Tree for the next few nights, so I bet they are the band you saw.

Dunno here in D.C. the opener was Robert Fripp, purveyor of the most boring hour of music I've ever heard in my life (and I'm an enormous KC fan)... His soundscapes just sucked. Sorry to anyone who actually enjoyed it...
