There were only 26 Italian prog albums listed for 1978, but the album by Demetrio Stratos sounded truly awful, which made it easy to decide who to delete from the poll to bring the total down to 25. The Aldebaran album is a masterpiece by comparison.

Yes, but you could distinguish between being a fan and appreciating works of innovative depth. I am not a fan of everything that is innovative and experimental, Cantare la voce for example is a very difficult record, I can't say I like listening to it - I hardly ever listen to it, and never all at once - but I recognise that it is a record, in its own way, of great depth, a small masterpiece, an extreme art-work.. ------------- Amos Goldberg (professor of Genocide Studies at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem): Yes, it's genocide. Zauber - Il Sogno is very enchanting Automat - Automat is charming Area - 1978: Gli Dei Se Ne Vanno, Gli Arrabiatti Restano! is pretty good, but my least favorite of the Areas I've cared to listen to (I've never heard their two later albums) Banco del Mutuo Soccorso - Di Terra is just alright Zauber takes it.
