Yet another "out of PA" one. Vote for three (or more, or less) tracks that you appreciate from the list. Here is a link to a topic which shows the choices for past polls: https://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=132552" rel="nofollow - CLICK

I'm not familiar with any... I find it ironic that Greg does a poll on PA where I KNOW my Punk/Indie sister (The Cure are the greatest band who ever existed apparently) would be far more familiar with the music (Banshees, Bauhaus) than me...
I could play some of the tracks of course, but I'm not turning off my VDGG for any of it...
------------- Music has always been a matter of energy to me. On some nights I believe that a car with the needle on empty can run 50 more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio. Hunter S Thompson

^ The Cure's Disintegration rules, man!
And while she might have seen it already, consider showing your Punk/Indie sister what may be one of the greatest music videos ever. Ooh, that bassoon...!

Candidates for votes are: John Coltrane, Siouxsie, Low, Stereolab (excellent track even though you know I'm not generally a fan), Sufjan Stevens, Jenny Hval.
The Sufjan Stevens track is just out of this world, and on top of that I go for John Coltrane and Stereolab (seriously)!

^ Thanks, Christian. And really glad to have posted a Stereolab track that you like. Much as I like it, I'll go with Jenny Hval, Low and Sufjan Stevens.
And Jared, please excuse the joke "shred", but it's a favourite of mine. Some might say that they wouldn't know the difference between those shreds and music I like. To be honest I would have thought you likely would know "You Only Live Twice", but I've been into James Bond since I was wee. The lyricist was a friend of my dads (both were officers) and his best man. When my dad left British military intelligence, he got my a dad a job managing a music hall. Quite a change of career, but that's the kind of place Russian spies might try to blend in. ;)
I guess most with an interest in jazz would know "Giant Steps", which is a true giant in jazz music.
I really am very into kinds if Indie music and gothesque/gothic music. My eldest's partner of 20 is very into goth (and various 80s music like Cocteau twins), so it's nice to have certain music interests in common.
Love to see a non-Prog list from you Jared if you want to try it. I expect that I would know more from yours than vice versa.
