Hey folks,

Sharing two instrumental prog tunes I recently finished:
Unstill, inspired primarily by From Silence to Somewhere by Wobbler: https://soundcloud.com/dyross/unstill-9123-demo
Diminished Returns, inspired by Jordrok by Anglagard, w/ some metal elements thrown in: https://soundcloud.com/dyross/diminished-returns

Thanks for listening!
David

Thx for sharing. I've already listened to Unstill, and really enjoyed it. I even favorited it on SC. :) Dimished Returns sounds really pro as well. Good job. Kinda reminds me of Yugen. Ever heard of that band?

Unstill has a very interesting chord progression and intriguing signature changes. The piano interlude is cinematic. I'm trying to find out what it's like, but the crescendo which comes just after and bring the main theme back is a great idea.

I can hear the influence of Anglagard on Diminished Return, instead.
Surely it can't be an influence, but listening to the "metal" parts I think you will like giving an ear to something by "From.Uz". I like your classical guitar playing, too.

I stand with Roger Waters, I stand with Joan Baez, I stand with Victor Jara, I stand with Woody Guthrie. Music is revolution

Oops, forgot I had already posted Unstill.

Will check out Yugen. Name sounds familiar, but haven't listened yet.

EDIT: I knew I heard of Yugen, I listen to Ske a bunch.

Thanks for the kind words!

I just started listening to Overlook; great sound, definitely a band for me to track more.

The two links provided both produce this error:

This track was not found. Maybe it has been removed. Learn more

Did you perhaps mean "soundcloud.com/dyross" and not "soundcloud.com/david-ross-146"?
