IIMO she is a genius of pop music, mixing a lot of interesing and even complicated world music influences in her ecletic discography. Her best is delivered live, when she usually extends her songs to longer and richer versions, making her work live MUCH more interesting than the studio versions, which I don't care much of. The studio work indeed may seem pale when compared to the live arrangements. Her live band ROCKS! Check out this, with an open mind, seven minutes of great music, plus interesting instrumental parts. One of the richest musical compositions ever done by a pop artist. You don't even need to watch the show, just listen and travel! |

Before she became famous worldwide, one of my colleagues whose wife was Colombian, went in the office with one of her early CDs: "Donde Estan Los Ladrones".
