There's something wrong with the MAAILMANPUU band page: it shows no reviews.
Don't remember if there were other reviews, but I have reviewed their second album Kohti valoa (2021), as shown here:

https://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=74803" rel="nofollow - MAAILMANPUU Kohti valoa reviews (progarchives.com)

Any idea why the review(s?) have disapperead from the band page? Has this happened with other artists, too?

^^ It seems it's only up to M@X to fix this.

Looks like it's a common bug - I click to many band pages and no reviews everywhere.
Examples:
https://www.progarchives.com/artist.asp?id=1122
https://www.progarchives.com/artist.asp?id=281
https://www.progarchives.com/artist.asp?id=364

Maybe with all the timeout issues the site is having, maybe he's trying to lower the load on the server by removing some features?? Just a guess.

There has been a real serious bug for 4-5 days now. There is no rating bar under the album cover.
I can't see my rating as well as give new rating.

Both on the main page and on the album page:

I don't know if it's a bug or what it's happening, but it's been already pointed out.

I think you've hit the nail right on the head there Ken.

I can't really see what M@X will be saving in terms of bandwidth by removing the overall star rating from underneath the album covers (unless it has to be computed from all the existing rating/review data every time the page loads, and was thus overloading the system from that aspect rather than bandwidth consumption), but I reckon by not showing the selection of reviews that used to be shown on an artist's main page he will certainly be saving a fair bit. These two things don't seem like bugs at all to me - I reckon they've both been done deliberately.

For what it's worth, the main site has been a lot better for me here in the UK over the last three days or so, though the forum was unavailable (Cloudflare timeout rather than the usual server-generated error) for a while earlier yesterday afternoon.

From https://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=132086" rel="nofollow - another thread that's just been started on the topic of the missing star ratings below album covers:

Safari and Firefox are showing the star ratings.

I like to use Google the most - is there a way to remedy this?

Maybe it is a bug after all then. If M@X had introduced this change deliberately to help reduce the load on the system, then it would surely have become noticeable across all browsers. Ermm

The site is much better today - it's fast, latest reviews are shown on the artists' pages, ratings are shown with digits, on the albums' pages I see the number of reviews and ratings.

If only stars were "sacrificed" I can live with it.

I have contacted M@X about it, let's see what happens…

I am using Firefox and do, indeed, see the star ratings when I look at one specific album. I don't see them on the band page beneath each of the band's albums.

I checked the page source for a random album (https://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=51106), and it highlights a number of coding errors, like object terminators (e.g. </li> that don't correspond to anything, nested comments (which are not allowed), stray ending tags, extra unnecessary characters, etc.  The same is true on the main band page, and the PA home page.

I suspect that recent changes are responsible for these coding errors, and that some browsers overlook them, while others fail. I didn't see any errors specifically regarding the star ratings, however. But that's how coding is, sometimes... an error in one place can manifest itself as weird behavior elsewhere.
