Only vaguely in rhythmic beats and a few wordless utterances but HOCUS POCUS is a hard rock tune with yodelling! Neither of these elements is present on HAREM SCAREM. Great track though. Also, the thread is about hits and HOCUS POCUS was a surprise hit for the band, another aspect the band never experienced again. Prog bands focused on albums, not singles for the most part.

I'm not sure I agree with this. Black Sabbath had quite a few non heavy metal tracks interspersed among their heavy metal tracks, to the extent that one could say that the non heavy metal tracks were a normal part of Black Sabbath's style. Here is a list of non heavy metal tracks from the first eight albums (although the first and eighth albums did not have any): Paranoid - Planet Caravan Master Of Reality - Embryo Master Of Reality - Orchid Master Of Reality - Solitude Black Sabbath Vol 4 - Changes Black Sabbath Vol 4 - FX Black Sabbath Vol 4 - Laguna Sunrise Sabbath Bloody Sabbath - Fluff Sabotage - Don't Start (Too Late) Technical Ecstasy - She's Gone ------------- No, I know how to behave in the restaurant now, I don't tear at the meat with my hands.
