Hey, I just recently joined the forums. It seems like there is A LOT of
people who know about good music. My personal favorite bands are Pain
of Salvation, Opeth, DT, SX, TFK, SB, The Tangent, Victor Wooten Band,
Béla Fleck & The Flecktones, Jaco Pastorius/Weather Report, Marcus
Miller, Necrophagist, Rush, Yes, etc... As you probably noticed, I am a bass player  (Damn, the avatars here are super gay..)Anyways, hope to learn a lot here, and please recommend me some good prog bands you think I might like, cause right now I need new music. Cya. ------------- "I Am" |

Hi BassUndertow, welcome!  You might want to check out bands like Return To Forever, Primus etc. if you're looking for superb bass players.

I see you dig jazz rock/fusion.Have you ever heard of Chris Poland's(ex-Megadeth guitarist)band Ohm?Great stuff,bass player Robertino Pagliari is incredible.Also,the new album has Kofi Baker(son of Ginger Baker)on drums. I highly recommend them. ------------- |
