Hey there! My name is Brooke, I am a 36 year old trans woman living in Halifax, Nova Scotia. I used to frequent these forums years ago ever since I was in high school back in the day (long live prog archives!!) and haven't been back in a fairly long time since probably early to mid 2010s. Came across these forums again and loved reading all the cringy young person posts I made hahaha. Anyway, I went ahead an rejoined and figured I'd re-introduce myself to the old stomping grounds by telling a bit about myself as a musician these days. I am a singer, bassist, and keyboardist who writes her own prog and jazz fusion influenced tunes (I probably couldn't say they're straight up "prog"). Been working on a debut solo album for a lot of years and after getting rid of a few tunes I've decided not to use, have recently finished a tight half hour long album of prog influenced tunes. I am in the process of uploading it to streaming services at the moment so it is't released yet, however I do have one song on services titled "Black and Blues" and my artist name is "Brooke Waye" if you are curious.

Have also just finished and released a completely fully self-animated and drawn and edited music video of a fairly proggish jazz rocky type tune I wrote and recorded for the album called "Miasmal Love" if you care to check it out, will leave the link in my post. This was an insane amount of work, took me 2 years to complete the video alone lol. Hope you enjoy!

There are also streaming service links on my website, and also another song streaming on the website called "Room Full of Adders" :)

I don't know what exactly to compare it to as I try to do a different vibe every tune, but I am influenced by bands such as Radiohead, Jamiroquai, Steely Dan, Peter Gabriel, Genesis, Gentle Giant...so I figured it would fit here!
