I'm sure most of us are familiar with Moogsploitation, a genre term used to describe novelty albums, mostly from the 70s, which primarily (sometimes exclusively) made use of the Moog synthesizer and emphasized its quirky and characteristic analog sound, often (though not exclusively) through the use of cover versions of classical music and pop songs, and stylistically adjacent to space age pop and progressive electronic music. Wendy Carlos, Jean-Jacques Perrey and Isao Tomita are probably the most well-known artists within the genre.

Now, as the title suggests, I am curious for any conceptually similar novelty albums emphasizing the equally quirky and characteristic sound of the Mellotron (or other tape-based sampling keyboards such as the Chamberlin or the Birotron). I'm not looking for any album that has a Mellotron on it but specifically ones on which it is the predominant instrument demanding all attention. I know there has to be a bunch but at the moment the only ones I can think of are Beppe Crovella's http://beppecrovella-moonjune.bandcamp.com/album/whats-rattlin-on-the-moon-a-personal-vision-of-the-music-of-mike-ratledge" rel="nofollow - What's Rattlin' On The Moon? and Mike Dickson's http://mikedickson.bandcamp.com/album/mellotronworks" rel="nofollow - Mellotronworks series.

Kinda on topic:
I came up with the term "Eddsploitation" that applies to animations inspired by Eddsworld, that bloomed in popularity first, after Edd Gould's passing and again, after the final Eddsworld Legacy episode. :3

I'm not sure if this qualifies, but the closest I can think of is Don Bradshaw-Leather's Distance Between Us.

First that came to mind is Days of Future Past, but that is so early, and naive. Probably albums drenshed in Tron. Perhaps sone Tangerine Dream have some tron-flooded songs, i am very interested in this topic at hand

Tomita used the Mellotron a lot, but on his "Bermuda Triangle" album, the choir Mellotron is very prominent. Its based on the music of Prokofiev.
