Peter Sinfield in the studio in 1969, next to Ian McDonalds saxophone case.

It's seemingly very difficult for any news website or the like to publish an article concerning Peter Sinfield without using this picture of him. Now I'm wondering what parallels there are to this -- The Picture Of Peter Sinfield. Other prog artists? The Picture Of (insert name here)?

Probably due to the fact the photo is clear and of high enough quality and there are very few pictures of that person.

This picture of Roine Stolt was used quite a few times by blogs, interviews etc.

What about the iconic Ian Anderson’s picture, standing in one leg while playing the flute? I’ve been trying to load the picture, but for some reason, I haven’t been able to.

Here's one!  Good call, that type of pose was always on the cover of magazines like Circus!

My good friend, Curt "Leroy" Krill, took this amazing photo of Steve Howe, but it's never been published!  It is one of my all time favorite prog photos!  Photo taken at the "Solo Albums Tour" show, August 15, 1976, Chicago
(during "Ritual," which Howe plays in its entirety on that little Les Paul Jr. guitar!)

I had never seen a picture of Pete Sinfield as a young man before, that I can remember. I'm sure I've seen many of these posted images here at some point, but I have no clear recollection of about 85-90% of them. Which is why I posted mine as a (bad) joke. Sorry. I remember some iconic image of Rick Wakeman in a cape, Robert Plant with an open shirt singing into his microphone at a concert... Other than that all I can think of is images of bands from classic albums such as Queen II:

-that's really the picture of Queen, isn't it?

This one is not that common, but I would argue that it is over-used by me, especially after using it again here.

Looks like he might have just hit the legendary brown-note.

^ and that one for me is common, but not over-used. Terrific photo, imo.

I was thinking the same thing, but refrained from posting in case I saw all these with my eyes closed at one time or another.
