The pear-shaped poll, bottom heavy it is.
Porcupine Tree versus Hawkwind round three. It could be another close one we'll see. Will Chroma Key take some votes away? Speaking of which I've given up trying to find that Kevin Moore poster for my room. Another broken dream.
Space Invaders are awesome, from Germany with Electric Orange and Zone Six represented in that group.

Hawkwind by a long shot, at least from what I've heard here.

I'm actually feeling pretty sorry for Signify... it's a fine album and every time I dust it down and give it the occasional spin, I always enjoy it enough to give it another turn in the player... it's just that it's up against Warrior.. Ermm

Porcupine Tree-Signify is one of my favorite cds ;I would not call the whole thing space; but eclectic with rolling clouds and spaced out verbage enough to get you to Alpha Centuri and back.

Apparently.
An absolute drubbing.
Glad someone voted for the Vespero/Zone Six record. My favourite music from Vespero is on this album. Both bands got 24 minutes and Vespero decided to do three tracks while Zone Six used it for one long piece. Love it all. I also have a Papir/ Electric Moon recording but on this one the bands actually recorded together in the studio to great results.

That Monkey3 record is pretty awesome, kind of a Post Rock vibe to it and the highlight is the closer Ellipsis which is worth hearing if people can find it.

My pick as well. Not overly consistent but man it hits highs that nothing else on here hits. Mark Zonder on drums! Well Joey Vera's here too.Big smile

Great album, i was lucky to listen to it when it came out, i wish Kevin would get back to making some music, either on his own or with Jim Matheos.

I still play that first OSI record and Kevin was on some Fates Warning records wasn't he? I'm sure a live one anyway. Love the piano on Dead Air For Radios.

Thumbs Up

I always felt Hawkwind was an overrated band ..as much as we all enjoy their old hippie space rock,  the lp is not recorded nor played all that well imho. They have become a sentimental fan favorite.
'Dark Matter' on Signify is better than any track on Warrior imho not to mention the other fine tracks like Sleep Of No Dreaming .

Porcupine Tree- Signify has a happy memory attached to it.  My boyfriend gifted Signify to moi for my Birthday...at a candle lit Italian Restaurant.  We listened to it a lot that year. Road trips and trips.
