A more eclectic bunch to finish off the half-century re-evaluation. Obviously, many more could be considered but certainly these albums have gone on to acquire a justified reverence. I also thought of Tony Conrad's 'Outside the Dream Syndicate' but thought it might be a bit of a stretch.... Anyway, more 'whataboutery' anticipated.

Caravan - Faust - Magma - Soft Machine. Very hard to choose between these. Today I'm in the mood for Faust.

The surprise here is the lack of votes for Magma although pitted against a strong field.

What a great collection of albums and I really do love Greenslade but I went with Soft Machine's Seven. Funny last night I realized I have live versions of that Seven to Bundles period with three different guitarists which is cool. Allan Holdsworth, Gary Boyle and John Etheridge.
