^ That was great Paul, I haven't seen this Hawkwind show before. I really liked Bridget singing in the middle of Damnation Alley. Thanks. Smile

My pleasure. It's taken me thirty years to discover Nottingham was a real treasure trove of prog back in 1990, and it's also good to know Central TV Studios won't only be remembered for Blockbusters and The Price is Right. Tongue

Wishbone Ash - The 13th and final Access All Areas concert, only this time it's from Colston Hall in Bristol (and not Nottingham) back in 1989, so why not "Come on down!" Maybe Central TV Studios in Nottingham were filming Blockbusters or The Price is Right on that particular day. "Can I have a "P" please, Bob?" Embarrassed

It's just dawned on me, I have a DVD of Sky Live In Nottingham: June 1990.

Have you come across this one yet, Paul?

I tried looking up "Sky - Access All Areas" on YouTube and discovered a documentary about British Midland Airways, but I also discovered this.....

Well, 3 Stars is about right...

http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=30263" rel="nofollow - SKY Live in Nottingham

I can only guess that given the date, this was part of the AAA series, you mention above?

Can you imagine something as good as that happening now???

The only difference being that the "Sky - Live in Nottingham" concert was part of the Classic Rock Legends series for the BBC, whereas all of the Access All Areas concerts (with the exception of Wishbone Ash) were filmed at Central TV Studios for ITV. Smile

AFAIK, other Nottingham concerts appeared on Classic Rock Legend Series (I'm quite positive about Caravan, and slightly less so about Heep)... some might even have surfaced on the Master Of The Vaults series.

Sooo it's nothing like a dogmatic rule, but more like commercial and availability opportunities.
AFAIAAware, the Access All Area serie (inside a CD format case) is fairly recent.

There's also a covers band called The Classic Rock Show who perform familiar favourites by Led Zeppelin, Dire Straits, The Who, Eric Clapton, AC/DC, Queen, the Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, and many more. Thumbs Up
