The selections in the poll series are collected from the Rate Your Music all-genres/all-time music chart, and I have included only ones that are in Prog Archives Prog categories other than the Spirit which is in Proto-Prog (was not going to skip it when I saw it in the chart). The numbers beside the albums show the chart position at RYM. Please vote for a favourite and mention that and any others that you find particularly notable in a post. By the way, I only have a few more of these prepared -- made during one sleepless night. Some count sheep; I count albums.

Gong - Flying Teapot (2121)
Magma - Mekanïk Destruktïw Kommandöh (2169)
Steve Hackett - Voyage of the Acolyte (2185) (mistake, was in the last poll, removed) replaced with the top entry for the next poll King Crimson - Islands (2328)
Gentle Giant - Three Friends (2191)
Mastodon - Blood Mountain (2199)
Al Di Meola - Elegant Gypsy (2204)
Chick Corea - Return to Forever (2227)
Jethro Tull - Heavy Horses (2228)
Nektar - Remember the Future (2232)
National Health - Of Queues and Cures (2235)
Steely Dan - Katy Lied (2244)
Hawkwind - Hall of the Mountain Grill (2246)
Current 93 - Of Ruine or Some Blazing Starre (2248)
Oingo Boingo - Dead Man's Party (2254)
Gorguts - From Wisdom to Hate (2265)
The Gathering - How to Measure a Planet? (2269)
Moonsorrow - Voimasta ja kunniasta (2270)
Tim Buckley - Goodbye and Hello (2290)
My Dying Bride - Turn Loose the Swans (2295)
Lucifer's Friend - Lucifer's Friend (2296)
Herbie Hancock - Crossings (2308)
Phoenix - Cantofabule (2317)
Spacemen 3 - Forged Prescriptions (2320)
Present - Barbaro (ma non troppo) (2324)
Harold Budd - The Pavilion of Dreams (2306)

------------------------------------------------------------

Another really strong one per my tastes with various albums that I adore. That said, this time I knew what my vote would be for as soon as I saw it.

My top ten (top five):

Herbie Hancock - Crossings
National Health - Of Queues and Cures
Magma - Mekanïk Destruktïw Kommandöh
Gentle Giant - Three Friends
Gong - Flying Teapot

Bubbling under but still loved:

Current 93 - Of Ruine or Some Blazing Starre
Spacemen 3 - Forged Prescriptions
Lucifer's Friend - Lucifer's Friend
Tim Buckley - Goodbye and Hello
Present - Barbaro (ma non troppo)

And various other albums I like such as the Jethro Tull, the Mastodon, the Phoenix. I have yet to hear the Harold Budd in full, but I want to, and for some reason I have avoided the Hackett albums. I should play that in full. And I forgot Return to Forever , that could be in my top ten. I also liked the Nektar but haven't heard it in 16 years. As for Al Di Meola's Elegant Gypsy, that is one I heard many years ago and it didn't appeal to me, maybe now I would appreciate it more. I know that it is a hugely respected album by many. Oingo Boingo is one that has surprised me being in PA.

Crossings gets my vote amidst many very strong entries per my tastes.

I wish I could compare this selection to the top 2100 to 2300 albums in PA, but PA only goes to 250 (not an altogether "fair" comparison either).

Multiple votes to vote for multiple selections are now allowed on this poll as I made an earlier mistake which unfortunately got the most votes. I would expect the might Crimson to take a quite a few votes anyway (I love Islands myself).

Oops, that was a mistake, I made a mistake as I shuffle these around so to try not to duplicate artists in one poll. Changing it despite having votes, but I'll open this up to multiple votes to hopefully kind of make up for it.

where are all you Nektarines??
