So you may have already heard about Neil Young removing his music from Spotify. But as usual, Fox News just can't get it right. Read the caption below the image. Does this sound like it was Neil's decision?

I think more artists should take a similar action.

Yeah, Neil Young told spotify to take his music off their site, good for him. Streaming sites suck, and so do political talking heads. Joe should get a real job, work is good for people. US network news sucks too, and fox is the worst of the bunch.

Take it easy Easy Money.  Joe works out, he's a standup comedian, he's an actor, he has the biggest podcast in the world, and he announces UFC fights. Did you know that Rogan's audience is 11 times bigger than CNN's?  Joe has a job.  That said, FOX mislead their followers. Young asked Spotify to remove his music. Spotify honored Young's request.

I'm sure he's hilarious.

Joe Rogan is fine, he's only doing what the rest of the world is doing and that is making a career using social media as a platform. The guy is highly successful, he is an entertainer. Like him or not does not matter.

I applaud Neil Young for doing this, I wish more artists would do that. Spotify and the whole streaming music thing is terrible for artists.
I am very happy that physical media is becoming bigger and bigger every year for the past 10yrs. LP records outsold CDs last year, as well CDs sold more last year, although a huge part of that was due to Adele 30.

I had a friend who liked political talk radio, I could never get that, to me its like a dentist visit without the pain killers. To each his own I suppose.

I never thought of that. I don't use Spotify. Like you, I do the hard stuff.
Neil Young probably made himself a solid economic move. To get young again, more folks will have to get on the vinyl. Needle and damage done. Vaccinated with a phonograph needle.

I think he actually said it accounts for almost 60% of the revenue for his record company, but they had the discussion before he acted and they said they would back him up. F#@KIN' A BUBBA !
Now, as far as Rogan is concerned I mostly know him from News Radio TV series. But as I see it, it's the same way I feel about Metal/Gore/Scream (whatever) Genres. I have no interest in them, but if you make your living giving that to people who want it, then good for you. Anyone can turn off or away from pretty much anything they please...if they want to.

The caption could be taken both as a knock to Young or as support for him, but as it's Fox I assume they aren't standing up for a bedwetting liberal like Neil.   Am I missing something?

^^Yeah, since when did some WebHead get to decide what an artists music is worth. I can't believe that the musicians unions haven't made more of a stink about their compensation from these streaming services. Without the music they wouln't exist.

How is claiming they are 'kicking him off' and him 'asking' for his music not to share a platform with some deadly BS the same thing? Spotify was given a choice. They chose to take revenue over truth.

Good for Neil. Rogan once called himself "not a respected source of information." At least he got that right. Fox News should use that as a disclaimer.

The ironic thing is that, I saw lots of negative criticism from the English about the BBC, but BBC Türkçe was the only good major news media outlet here, during our "Gezi" events. And Fox Haber (Turkey), that means Fox News, similarly does the only really good major news broadcasting for years. Interesting...

In working musician language, 'hitting the road' means going on tour.

No, I get that. I was a touring FOH engineer for almost 6 years.
Doesn't change my point about Fox News spinning a fact to appear to be something else.

Oh, no doubt about that and its hardly the first time they have done that. They will be doing it tonight over something else I'm sure.

My main problem with Neil Young is that he blamed Gays for Aids.  Leftist, Jimmy Dore talks about it...

I've traded stocks for two decades. Spotify's drop was normal Stock action.
As of today, Spotify is UP a billion dollars in Market value cap, since Young pulled his music.
Does that mean that Rogan's side is winning? No.  That's normal stock action too.

I'm sure not even environmental activist spouse Darryl Hannah cares what her hubby thinks about anything, ever. Rust never sleeps so stop hammering the snooze button Neil. It seems we are not actually 'free to rock' in a world where we say anything this censorious and repressive has-been doesn't approve of. A sad and desperate hippy trying to be relevant.
