You guys are right.
When I said the "one" album I forgot to say that i wasnt considering Floyd.
not only ummagumma but shine on you crazy diamond, pigs, etc........ have a super tripper power!!!
Martian Chronicles has the plus of being based in one of the greatest
science fiction novels ever written. And the "world" that it takes you
to, is not so abstract, but it is a real world referred to the novel
representation of Mars.
Pink Floyd is way more abstarct. Floyd´s music is more like states of
mind, than narrative scenarios. Floyd goes deep in your mind, getting
to control every single aspect of yourself while you listen to their
songs. is there any doubt? floyd is the best band ever.

nice review!
you are right it´s very VERY tripping.
But you should try Martian Chronicles if you haven´t.
The idea of the album is based on a great novel. That gives the album
some coherence, it kinda pull it together. The story of being in mars
and all, it gives the album a greaaaat tripping sensation.
Tangerine Dream is way abstract. It sounds more like Clearlight
Symphony for example. It can be a problem if you are stoned by the time
you listen to it!!!
Anyway tripping albums ROCK!!!!

I had wondered when one would name "Cottonwoodhill". Most early
Krautrock is very trippy too, especially the early albums of Tangerine
Dream, Ash Ra Tempel, Guru Guru, Amon Düül 2, Agitation Free, Annexus
Quam or Anima (to name but a few, I could go on with Klaus Schulze, the
Cosmic Jokers, Popol Vuh, Can, Dzyan etc., but you get the message). "Hawk Meets
Penguin" by
the Britsh Amon Düül is one long trip. Gong, Hawkwind and the Ozric
Tentacles have been mentioned already. "Xitintoday" by Nik Turner's
Sphynx is VERY trippy too. Embryo or Xhol Caravan are very trippy. And,
believe it or not, Magma are very trippy too (though many would
probably say they'll send you on a bad trip only ). VdGG's "Pawn Hearts" is a very trippy album too. Or "In Camera" by Peter Hammill.

If we consider only Pink Floyd, perhaps I'd choose Meddle. The Echoes part is really trippy IMO.
