Well, since I'm not Canadian and since I'm surrounded by vineyards, I dare to vote for the Butter Tart with Raisins (but if the Wanuts were Walnuts, it would be a stiff competition...Tongue).

You don't have Wanuts in France? How sad for you. LOL
Thanks, fixed.

I've never had raw(?) figs. Do you eat as is or with toppings?

raw of course. double entendre; the female genital is often compared to a fig

I think I've only eaten plain tarts. I figure I wouldn't like it with raisins. Pecans and walnuts would be fine, but not that necessary. Almond might make it remarkably better, though.

^ Without the "double entendre", fresh figs are a real delight, in tarts or in meals (I'm thinking of duck with figs; delicious!), or just out of the hand...

I'm lucky that we can eat all of their naturals. Our new favourite "dried" fruit is persimmon. A bit like dried figs, but has a standard. Figs sometimes become bad when dried. We once tried growing bananas, but their roots are like vandals.

^ Butter is great. Why do you hate it? You consume animals and animal-related food, I know. (Haha!)

Actually, I'm never picky in eating. I consume like everything. Evil Smile

Butter is great.  But so are rubber tires when they are used properly.

^ Ah, so you see it improper here. Actually I'm not sure if the tarts I ate had been made with butter... I'd probably have liked it in both ways though.

I just have to quote "Alice in Wonderland":

"The Queen of Hearts, she made some tarts,
All on a summer day:
The Knave of Hearts, he stole those tarts,
And took them quite away".

I'm always on the look-out for good comedies to watch (my favourite being Home Improvement), so I'll see if I can find Married with Children on YouTube. Thumbs Up

^ I tend to favour the British comedies. Yes Minister and Yes Prime Minister still tops my list. That said, I did like Married With Children.

As for the tarts: a tart infused with beer and a hint of maple syrup topped with Canadian bacon. You can take the Canuck out of Canada, but you can't take the Canada out of the Canucklehead.

I've never seen Yes Minister, although I know Margaret Thatcher was a big fan of Yes Prime Minister. Smile

To some it might be a little Non-PC at this point. Very sexist humour but done to such extreme that it clearly mocks the behavior vs elevates it. There's so much to dissect in the subtext. I hope you can find it and enjoy it. The second and third seasons really start to up the ante.

Well, that fact does not diminish my enjoyment. It's a brilliant show and I actually learnt a lot about politics from watching it as a child. It is the kind of show I wish we could make it Canada, instead we get really lame political farce. It makes for a nice companion piece with the brilliant British drama House of Cards/ To Play the King, which is quite Shakespearean.

Speaking of Shakespeare and tarts:

"If? Thou protector of this damnèd strumpet, talk'st thou to me of "ifs"? Thou art a traitor—Off with his head" (Richard III).

I can't find any full episodes of Married with Children on YouTube, but the good news is I just found  a whole bundle of Married with Children episodes on Daily Motion (the French YouTube chanel), including the very first episode from Season 1. Thumbs Up

I like non-PC humour (Ricky Gervais, for instance), so Married with Children is already sounding very appealing. Smile

I hid the post about torrents due to the rule:

Already much related things are on on shaky ground.
