Being old enough to have watch Ali's coverage on TV since his Olympic days, I didn't think there was much more to see.  Since Sunday I have been pleasantly surprised.  Burns is a master story teller and has brought highlights to some of Ali's lesser covered challenges.  Like the strong association Malcolm X had on Ali in his early days with the Nation of Islam.  So far the 'documentary' is really good stuff.

Yes, it's excellent! Tbh, there's not a lot I didn't know, having lived through those times, but it was refreshing to see Ali called out by a few of the talking heads for his racist treatment of Joe Frazier. And the first Ali/Frazier fight is still an all time epic.

I might check it out.. Is it on PBS? I'll do a search once I get a chance.
