Your Mother's Not a Virgin!: The Bumpy Life and Times of the Canadian Dropout who changed the Face of American TV!

(by John Barbour)

I'm at page 71, but that's only 10% of it. I like it, but some things are described way too much, and I sorta skim through it.

I wasn't aware this was a thing, now I'm intrigued.

Nice, I'm reading that one too and I'm very captivated by it. After that I have Herbie Hancock's autobiography waiting for me.

Just finished reading Jay Blades' autobiography (for those who watch The Repair Shop). Very interesting read, I'll just say his background is not what you'd expect.

I'm not reading one at the moment, but the last biography I read was "The Big Fella: Babe Ruth and the World He Created" by Jane Leavy. I like Leavy's work. She wrote some good bios of Koufax and Mantle.

I can second that. My brother had a copy of "Sandy Koufax: A Lefty's Legacy".  I read it. I liked it.

Again: You'll Know When You Get There: Herbie Hancock and the Mwandishi Band. Like MIlestones I & II, I may never really finish it. I read a chapter, flip back and fourth... and so on. But it's all very intriguing. This is how it looks like:

Hi,

The last one I read was the book about ANITA PALLENBERG, which is rather crazy, but brings up very interesting thoughts about the whole "psychedelic" thing in London and its start. It suggests that in London it was the "jet set" that got it going, whereas in SF we know it was just the folks on the street and in various clubs. It would/could/should be considered a bit more of a movement, which it became and huge, than the London's version which was -- I don't think -- as strong (in the end) as the "results" in California. The sheer number of magnificent music is still remember and like Micky says, it's still as good as the dope! I don't think I would say that about the Beatles or Stones!

Music is not just for listening ... it is for LIVING ... you got to feel it to know what's it about! Not being told!
