I saw them live back in 1975 when they were promoting the Snow Goose and they played it in its entirety for the whole second half of their show.

I actually saw Camel on the Single Factor tour 1982 or 1983, and they were still playing the full Snow Goose! It was a brutally good show by the way, maybe given that it was the Single Factor period one wouldn't necessarily have expected that.

Favourite albums by the way, on about equal level, Moonmadness, Breathless & Mirage, many others close behind.

the "On the Road" live albums are really good, especially "On the Road 1972".
"On the Road 1981" has most of Nude played live.

And as far as favorite songs go, I love Who we Are, Drafted, Rhayader/Rhayader goes to town, City Life, Lunar Sea, Aristillus, Song within a Song, and Chord Change. So I know Who we Are is poppy but it holds a special place in my heart as it was one of my first Camel songs.

CAMEL emerged from Guildford like a desert MIRAGE with the release of their first album in 1973. The band have since gone on to become as legendary as the flight of THE SNOW GOOSE, with its annual long migration from Canada to Mexico. Their fourth album was a concept album, released at a time when the concept album was King. When record buyers listened to the final track on the album, Lunar Sea (Lunacy), they may have thought they were experiencing a temporary bout of MOONMADNESS, as the song played on endlessly, in what's known as the "terminal groove" effect. Camel's next critically acclaimed album had their loyal fanbase performing RAIN DANCES of delight and they were BREATHLESS with anticipation for the follow-up album. Who can forget the stark image of the crucified astronaut on the cover of I CAN SEE YOUR HOUSE FROM HERE, where he's metaphorically NUDE and alone in the endless depths of space. THE SINGLE FACTOR determining his fate is whether there's a spacecraft waiting nearby to come to the rescue, or whether he's doomed to drift endlessly through space like a STATIONARY TRAVELLER, when all of his hopes will be crushed like DUST AND DREAMS in a HARBOUR OF TEARS. Camel had a return to form in 1999 with the release of their RAJAZ album, which gave A NOD AND A WINK towards their classic 1970's albums.  Wink

1. Moonmadness
2. Rajaz
3. Mirage
4. Nude
5. Rain Dances

So I have a random question real quick, is there a Camel Appreciation thread? And if so can someone send the link?

I really only know their original line-up albums, but I would expect them to remain my top 4 favourites.

My faves:

1. Moonmadness
2. Nude
3. Pressure Points
4. Harbour of Tears

Edited to add: IMO, the very best version of Lady Fantasy can be found on the "Never Let Go" Live 2CD set, last track on Disc 2.  Absolutely incredible, when he hits the slow part mid-song and starts working the guitar volume knob, it gives me shivers every time.  Perfection.  We caught their Harbour of Tears tour when we lived in Germany and will never forget it, we were right in the front row... Altes Schutzenhaus, Stuttgart, 1997.
