Hello fellow proggers! Long time lurker and PA reader here.

Compared to a lot of you I'm still a prog newbie even though I've been a casual fan of bands like RUSH (until 2011 when I saw them live) and Pink Floyd, I'm a big Iron Maiden fan though!

It was until a couple of years ago I decided to get into prog with the help of PA and it's been a fantastic journey so far! That's why I finally registered here so I talk with fellow music fans and say thanks for opening my eyes and ears to an incredible musical world!

Welcome fellow Canuck, our nation is fairly represented here so it's nice to have yet another countryman signed on. What part of Canada are you in? I'm Southwestern Ontario.

Nice, I've got a really close buddy that lives in Vancouver. It's been almost 14 years since I was out there last. I do miss it so.

Apart from being in transit in Vancouver airport, the only place I’ve been in BC was Cranbrook, but it was nice. At the time I was in Canada, there was so much great music coming out of the country. Because I didn’t spend too much time in any one place, I went to only one gig (I Mother Earth and Moist, in Montreal), and it was fantastic. It remains a favourite gig of mine. Even if I haven’t necessarily followed the bands since, I still listen to a lot of music from around that time, because it reminds me, and because it’s great stuff: IME, OLP, The Tea Party, The Hip, and Moist are probably my “big five” from that era, but there were plenty more.
