What a horrible "singer" (!) Not in the category of "so bad that it's good", either.

Progressively BAD !!! YES !

It is pretty much unlistenable in my opinion.
Must be nice to have a rich daddy who will finance your little ego projects.
My suggestion...put that money towards an Auto-Tune.
Wow...I mean...WOW !

But the thing is, today you can always post-pitch the vocals or use autotune. She didn't do that, so it must be on purpose that it sounds like it does. Maybe she is making an artistic point out of being off-key; to create some dissonance - the aesthetics of the ugly. Or maybe it is all just a prank. Or is it both? Perhaps she just wants to catch everyone bewildered? There are many options.

If she didn't know how out of tune she is, then people would be telling her immediately.

^ The actual thing is... attracting the attention is the driving motive in the show business. And after being supremely talented comes being ridiculous for that. But, as I said, this is not in the "so bat that it's good" category either. Plain dumbness. Like Ice Bucket Challenge etc... For the mediocre crowds... ZERO interested, actually.

OK, OK, OK, I brought it up in "Just for fun" because I find its flaws amusing (if they are indeed flaws). I honestly didn't know it would cause such controversy Cry

^ I've made it clear before, numerous times (but not in this thread) that I love diversity and everyone has a right to have fun. My words might seem condescending, but I sincerely respect people's tastes. Imagine that all our tastes, sense of humour etc. are the same. Life would be unbearably dull. Smile

^ I was mostly responding to JD. "Then close the thread" sounds very harsh and intolerant to me. And actually very unwelcoming too.

I don't expect everyone to be amused by the same things as me, but there was absolutely no need for this. One can just focus on something else. That's what I do myself, because obviously not everything on this site interests me equally.

^ Oh, OK. BTW, I saw a comment about this lady on Youtube, like: "She is not only hitting those notes, but also beating them!" LOL

I think her voice would be great for an avant-garde band. She sings much better than me.

^ Yeah I think so too Smile

When I was younger, I made some recordings where I sang out of tune on purpose. It was not that I couldn't sing in key, and I would have done so if I wanted to.

It is actually difficult to sing off-key purposely.

She should do a cover version of Melanie's "Brand New Key" Tongue

^ Indeed. There are many interesting microintervals in her melodies Smile

You took my comment too seriously brother. You're welcome to discuss this ad nauseam. In my personal opinion there is little else to be said about this without the redundancy of just how bad it is perceived to be.
