I think we should combine the Prog Music Lounge and Non-Music Prog Lounge.  Both seem very similar and I have noticed that alot of topics get moved from the Prog Music Lounge to the Non-Music Prog Lounge.  I think the Prog Music Lounge is getting stale and combining the two would allow for more interesting posts.  Alot of a people don't post in the Non-Music Prog Lounge and there are some really good topics in there that deserve more attention.

Thanks for the suggestion Minstrel, I'd be interested to hear the views of others.

The reason we have the two areas, and all the other sections, is to try to speead things out a bit. If there are too many active threads in the one section, interesting ones can disappear off the front page of that section within a few hours.

There is even an arguement for splitting up the PML even further to allow threrads to remain visible for longer.

By the way, the "Active topics" faiclity is a useful ways of catching up on threads which have been updated since your last visit, regardless of the section they are in.

I'll second the use of "Active Topics".  I don't use the forum category page anymore, unless I'm specifically looking for something.

I'm sorry, but this has to be the worst suggestion ever Unless you intention is to ruin the lounge completely. I think even more topics could be moved to the non-prog lounge. It seems that people don't really think what they post in the prog music lounge and the majority of topics are just plain stupid.

And yes, there is the "Active Topics" facility. I only use this facility and assumed that everyone else does so but apparently this is not the case. There would not be any problem if people just were clever enough to use this facility.
