Hi! My name is Stina and I am currently living in Niagara Falls Canada. I’ve been listen to prog for a while now but it’s starting to be my main go to this past year. I’m interested in doing a deep dive into prog and it’s sub genres and this seems like the place for that to happen.

I’m excited to discover some new music and maybe meet some new people.

Thanks for having me!

Hey there. I’ve been to Niagara Falls, Canada, when I was staying at the Uni of Toronto with a girl from St Catharines. It was the middle of winter and it was freaking freezing. Had a great time, though. What prog are you listening to at the moment?

Yeah it gets pretty cold here, but not for too long. I’m always listening to Yes, Grannie, ELP, Utopia first album and just videos I come across on YouTube that go into the psych - blues territories like Steamhammer , Spirogyra etc

Welcome Stina. No need for a raincoat and wellies here, and 'The Maid of the Mist' just might be an up and coming prog act. Wink

I'm about 2 hours NW from you and have spent tons of time in both Niagra Falls and Niagra-on-the-Lake. You've landed on a great site with a wealth of knowledge. Dig around in the forums, as you'll no doubt find many interesting topics.

Great to see ELP on your list. My favourite band.
You might also want to check out the following...

Focus - Moving Waves
Triumvirat - Illusions On A Double Dimple
Ars Nova (Japan) - The Goddess of Darkness

Thank you for supporting independently produced music

Thank you for the recommendations, I watch the knife-edge performance on YouTube once a day, it is just amazing.

Welcome, Stina, to the Progland equivalent of Twin Peaks, where there's always some weird and wonderful music just waiting to be discovered every day here, including Julee Cruise.....

Falling

By the way, I live near to Trent Falls in the English Midlands, which is not quite as spectacular as Niagara Falls, as it's only a 3-foot drop, although I still wouldn't fancy going over Trent Falls in a barrel. Smile
