I'll definitely choose both...

Tilda Swinton for her charisma and talent; Kate Winslet for her cuteness and... again talent.

Though, I must say Tilda Swinton is more important for me... She inspired me a lot regarding my spoken English.

How about you?

I've never heard of Tilda Swinton and her photo doesn't appeal to me at all, so my vote goes to Titanic star Kate Winslet, who's probably best-known now for bravely rescuing Richard Branson's mother from a house fire on Necker Island in the British Virgin Islands. Heart

Are we choosing them as an actress?  Or a role model?  Or a wife?  Or a one night stand?....

I choose Kate at all levelsSmile

If there is ever a Bowie biopic, I would love to see Tilda play the titular role. ❤️🥰

If those are the three options, I'd snog Kate Winslet, marry Liza Tarbuck and avoid Tilda Swinton. Smile

FYI, Tilda says England is not a free country, although she was born in there. Belonging to one of the very rare (2 or 3) British families whose ancestors can be traced back to the Middle Ages. Perhaps a complete family tree... An aristocratic background, but once interested in socialism and communism... Then hated communism for valid reasons. At least I agree with her in this.

She is living in Scotland now, I guess.

The amazing thing is she was born on the 5th of November (a V for Vendetta reference here). She is the embodiment of a revolution, indeed. An androgynous legend!

Both. They've both appeared in several movies I've enjoyed. Hard for me to choose which one is the better actress as both of them are exceptional and have excelled in their careers. They both have very long, extensive filmographies, much of which I haven't seen.

I can recommend Quills (2000) starring Kate Winslet and Possible Worlds (2000) starring Tilda Swinton.

Witness the grandeur of the inception of the new millennium! Party

If push came to shove, I might say Tilda Swinton, but both have been in plenty of films that I love.  Very fine performers.

I first saw Tilda Swinton in the film Orlando (saw that in the cinema) and Kate Winslet in Heavenly Creatures (saw that on video in 95 methinks).  I quite loathed Titanic, but Kate Winslet was the one thing that kept it rather afloat for me.

As well as her film work, I loved Kate Winslet in an episode of Extras.

I rewatched Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless mind the other week.

I just love everything about Liza:- Her sexy laugh: her saucy sense of humour; her sweet smile; her shapely figure; and above all, the sound of her dulcet tones on the radio. Heart

Fantastic actor, beautifully androgynous.

I like a few of the quirky roles Swinton has done...excellent intense actress...can't say that Winslet has impresed me with her acting in any specific role but she's not bad either.

A whopper triple mayo - hold the bunBig smile

Also a giant Coke - hold the cup!! Evil Smile

Both actresses proposed here are fairly gross IMHO (at least in their respective pictures)

It's unfortunate and sad that a thread like this, in the 21st century, still generates sexist remarks from some male participants...

Both are, in my opinion, very good actresses, but Kate Winslet is a more "classical" Hollywood actress, whereas Tilda Swinton has a much larger palette of acting - she's been quite impressive in some very diverse roles and characters, so for me she is the most interesting and better actress (and I thinks she's more interesting as a person too).

Clap

Though, Tilda's potential plethora of "characters" is not infinite, IMO. Winslet can handle some roles far better than her.

About the "cuteness" remark of mine, Tilda is too cute here too: (In order not to sound "sexist", I can say that I find Cuba Gooding Jr. cute too!)

Hi,

Tilda Swinton for the incredible listing of films and amazing choices, things that most actors would not touch or have the courage to consider.
