Subject: Help identifying album covers

I've been trying to identify all albums on this well-known montage: https://i.pinimg.com/originals/91/fa/d2/91fad2672c93e7e574bcadd1c6047f7c.jpg" rel="nofollow - https://i.pinimg.com/originals/91/fa/d2/91fad2672c93e7e574bcadd1c6047f7c.jpg . I counted 59 references, 54 of which I easily identified, but I'm having problems with the following 5.
  1. The first are what look like lights in in the top right corner, strung between The Turn of a Friendly Card and Voyage of the Acolyte.
  2. The second is between Equinox and Thick as a Brick.
  3. Third and fourth are on either side of the waterfall from Tales from Topographic Oceans
  4. The Camel is unlike any on the Camel albums. It looks more like one of the camels on Caravanserai - but not exactly.
Any help?

The third one is Synergy.

The fourth one is from the back cover of Led Zeppelin - Houses of the Holy.

Interestingly, the jar being held by the lady from Supertramp - Breakfast In America is from an alternative cover of Gentle Giant - Octopus. My CD of Gentle Giant - Octopus has this cover, and it's different from the cover I usually see for this album.

The second one is Marillion I think.

In the montage, she's holding a jar containing an octopus, with "GENTLE GIANT" written on the lid.

Not in this picture, she isn’t. She’s holding the Gentle Giant jarred octopus.... 🐙

Ahhh, I was thinking he was talking about an alternate Supertramp cover. Got it.
Both my LP and CD have the Jar cover.

OK. Marillion's Grendel - a limited edition release apparently. Thanks for spotting it - never seen it before.

I'd be surprised if the camel pic isn't from the back of a Camel lp....?

That's a tricky one as well since it's technically not an album cover. It's from a Video cover.

Probably is, but not on any of the editions I have. My guess would be Rajaz, but not the CD I have.

Isn't it a camel from Santana's Caravanserai album?

The Octopus in jar cover is the North American release cover, I have that one. I prefer the UK/Euro pressing. Though it is die-cut, which is nice.

That's what I thought at first too, but on closer inspection none of the camels on Caravanserai are posed just like the one in the montage.

I'm sure I've seen that camel already.

Sorry, it's not Led Zep's HOTH. Too many differences.
1. HOTH has orange sky directly above the child's head. The other has rocks.
2. HOTH has only rocks to the right of the child. The other has some blue (water?) features and a hard-edged, yellow/black striped object which are not present in HOTH.
Close... but no cigar.

Ahhh...it's called cropping. The figure is from HOTH just as the other figures there are as well, none of them have the orange sky because...wait for it...it was CROPPED OUT.

Questions?

About the camel, I was thinking to the rear cover of Klaus Schulze's Dune, but I don't have the vynil here. I'm not sure.

I agree, it's just the figure without the orange background.

Yeah, they're just elements from various album covers in a montage - not the whole cover.

I've never seen that rear cover. My copy had the lyrics of the B side on it and a picture similar to the front page, where I think to remember the camel.

Mine too. Camel and Santana were my immediate thoughts but when I checked my LP's I realized it didn't match any. I thought of Teru's Symphonia - Do Androids Dream of Electric Camel, but nope. Of course, seeing that the Robot Head was from a Video Slip cover and not an album It could be from any band any media and maybe anywhere on or in the packaging. Dying to see who figures that and the bubbles first.

Right. A joke of my memory. There's a photo of Klaus between his keyboards and the same picture of the front cover plus the lyrics

Not from an official album.
Not sure who made up the collage but...B@stard!

Better hold on tight then, god knows where those bubbles are from! Or are they lights? Or UFOs maybe? Or maybe just a filler!
