Magic Pie - Fragments of the 5th Element (2019) At least that is based on my ratings on ProgFreak, for whatever that is worth. I could also have included Blind Guardian - Legacy of the Dark Lands (2019); Karmakanic - Dot (2016); Opeth - Heritage (2011); Exivious - Liminal (2013); and Steven Wilson - The Raven that Refused to Sing (2013).; Ayreon - Transitus (2020). I gave all of these the same rating so probably could substitute out any of them as my #5. -------------

I cheated slightly by including a couple of 2020 albums in my list, but I didn't want to wait nearly ten years for the 2020-2029 poll, when I might not live that long.

The Final Breath Before November, by Edison's Children. Return to Ommadawn, by Mike Oldfield. String Theory, by Georgius. The Endless River, by Pink Floyd. |

INPO: The Road Of Bones - IQ Weather Systems - Anathema Pitfalls - Leprous Endless Forms Most Beautiful - Nightwish Falling Satellites - Frost* Edit: got my years confused yesterday, thereby failing to include Empath (Devin Townsend) and The Spell (Cellar Darling) in my thinking....and there's also the wonderful debut album by Sound Of Contact....and The Theory Of Everything by Ayreon.... Truly was a great decade! |
