For those who enjoyed the last tour of America and for those who didn't but wouldn't mind going on a trip in these lockdown times, I present to you a scenic trip through the good old U S of A. This time around the group includes many well-known songs and bands but keeping with my desire to showcase lesser known bands there is a spattering of them too. I suppose I have cheated a bit with a few covers and a few non-PA bands but I didn't want to not use all of the spaces. Anyhow, hopefully some of you will enjoy this. I have included a YouTube Playlist for those who like that option. (Unfortunately, the link does not seem to work this time. Technical problems of some sort.)

Choose your three favorites and let us know what songs you like, what songs you don't like, and which states you have visited and had nice vacations in.

I will be voting for Coheed & Cambria, as I am very happy to see them on this list.

Did you make the playlist for yourself again?
Will listen to them before voting...
BTW, the The Tangent one doesn't work for me, this one does:

I regularly regret that I hardly have the time to listen to all the stuff I don't know in your many polls but I appreciate them a lot anyway.
This time I know quite a few and my delight that Sufjan Stevens is listed will make me vote even though I don't have much listening time these days for work reasons.

I remembered to make it public this time, but for some reason I can get the link to work. I am just copy/pasting the url like normal, but even when I click on it, it say that the list does not exist. I'm not sure what to do to fix this???

I shall pick... Nice Beaver (new to me), Echolyn, and Zappa. Nice selection, again.
As for vacations, both Alaska and Hawaii are hard to beat.

I will be pretty busy with work the next couple of months. I went back to the office on Monday for the first time in almost a year. I probably won't be making too many/any polls in the next couple of months, so the old ones will be there for you to enjoy if the mood and time strikes you. :) I appreciate your input and I am glad that you appreciate them when you do have the time.

Nice Beaver is one of the ones on the list that I am probably least familiar with. Most of these are in my collection, but there were 5 or 6 that were completely new to me. Nice Beaver is one that is in my collection, but I am less familiar with.
I've never been to Hawaii or Alaska. I've only crossed the Mississippi twice in my life. Once for a business trip to Arkansas and once for a business convention in Las Vegas. Most of my vacations seem to be in Michigan, but travelling vacations tend to be to Florida.

It really bugs me that I can't get the YouTube playlist to work this time. It is there but for whatever reason the link won't work. I wonder if I included a video that can't be shared or something that is causing the whole list to not work?

^ Can't really help you with that, I never made a playlist on youtube... Despite this little inconvenience (or better, lack of more convenience...) I listened to all these. The ones I didn't know have frankly much difficulty to kick some of the big names off the podium, but well, I will only allow UK to climb on it and keep Zappa crying in a corner by giving a nod to Sufjan Stevens and Kayo Dot.

Mine will be the only vote for "Central Park" by Tangerine Dream, I bet. I've loved that album (Le Parc) for 35 years.

I'm glad to see Heart get a vote. Only a couple of us seem to show them any love in the forums.
There were 4 songs that I added to the poll that weren't in my collection, and so far, none of them have received a vote.

It took about a week for this one to end up on page 6. I probably won't get any more interest and it will be back to page 6 by next week but by the off chance anyone was looking for this one I've bumped it back from the dead.

I expect a resurgence next month that will take this thread to page 43.
