An odd one by tull although i did listen to a ian anderson solo work all i remember is the song FLY BY NIGHT another song about trains ,this record reminds me of the time it was released lots of new romantic and electronic bands dominating the british charts ,so i understand the need for peter vettese on keyboards ,unfortunely the results speak for themselves a poorly recieved album by long standing tull fans LAP OF LUXURY is the only rocker here EUROPEAN LEGACY has a modern sound and spanish guitar playing by martin barre PAPARAZZI is closest to tull making the charts since BUNGLE IN THE JUNGLE next APOGEE is a chilling song about space travel .UNDER WRAPS # 2 good song i think it,s about a rubber sex doll lol,anyways thanks for taking to read my review.  two out of five stars

Hopefully Wilson gets to remix it. With some extra tracks and better sound it will come up good. It had a couple of duds still lol. Radio free Moscow is cool ------------- All I like is prog related bands beginning late 60's/early 70's. Their music from 1968 - 83 has the composition and sound which will never be beaten. Perfect blend of jazz, classical, folk and rock. |

The album that should have been released next after A. I actually like it. Bought it when it came out. There are a number of tracks that I really like...Nobody's Car, Under Wraps #1 and 2, Paparazzi, Heat, Later That Same Evening, Radio Free Moscow and the superb Saboteur. Yep, the drum program diminishes the whole album and yes, there are stinkers e.g. Automotive Engineering, Tundra, Astronomy and General Crossing. But if you bought the LP instead of the CD (which I did) you didn't get these 4 shockers. So that is why I like the album. 4 stars.

I like astronomy and engineering. I don’t like Heat or wraps 1 though. We should get a double album for the remix. I think the drums can come up pretty good with some remixing ------------- All I like is prog related bands beginning late 60's/early 70's. Dr wu as go on daily walks i listen to my b collection of tull releases once what i considered trite are now slowly becoming masterpieces,Or i had cotton in my ears before or i guess the lockdowns are slowly making me lose my taste in music.

Well, what to say: being a Tull freak, Anderson and the boyZ went a little too electronic in the worst of its conception.....the proggy touch remains, but the real magic has a little wimped out on this here album.

I saw that tour (13th-row ticket on the floor) and even on stage, it wasn't good as
for Barlow, IMHO, that's not what would've saved the album (Vetese and
Pegg were awful as well), IMHO. It was excruciatingly bad with weak
songwriting (only European Legacy is salvageable) and awful 80's
production values ------------- let's just stay above the moral melee prefer the sink to the gutter keep our sand-castle virtues content to be a doer as well as a thinker, prefer lifting our pen rather than un-sheath our sword |
