Most of my friends don't like prog.  So I don't have anyone to discuss about prog with. I'm sure many others have the same problem, so I decided to post this topic and hopefully it'll be a solution to this problem. 
Everyone interested could tell what bands they listen to or anything about their taste. And then if you see someone with a similar taste to yours, then you could pm the person. I'll start with mine: Favorite bands: Porcupine Tree Pain Of Salvation Spock's Beard/Neal Morse Dream Theater Also listen to: Yes and other old stuff Fates Warning Planet X Projects with members of DT Shadow Gallery Rush The Mars Volta and many others Favorite song: When The Water Breaks by LTE |

Yes, a very nice idea, although a few of us have this covered already. Most peole have non prog friends, it's a common and unfortunate phenomena. Most of my friends like Hip Hop Thanks to prog archives we at least have an online support group ------------- Ultimately bored by endless ecstasy! |

At least my bandmates like some prog! Ops, I forgot my prog favourites: ANEKDOTEN, BILL BRIUFORD'S EARTHWORKS (newer acoustic), ELP (early), HAWKWIND, JADE WARRIOR (early), KING CRIMSON (72-74, 82-84), LANDBERK, PAATOS, RUFUS ZUPHALL, RUSH (!), THE SPACIOUS MIND, TASAVALLAN PRESIDENTTI, TREES, URIAH HEEP, WIGWAM (pre-1975) There's many more, but maybe these will do now. |

| dude, ive been whining on this site for a year now saying all of my School has no idea what prog even is! so dont feel left out, there are other people like you. I get extremly frusterated because i want to start a band for fun but i dont wanna play punk or heavy metyal, thats the only stuff my friends listen to so your not alone, I COMPLETLY SHARE YOUR PAIN. I get F*cking jelous hearing stuff on this site about how some of you guys hang out with your prog friends, AND I GET EVEN ANGRER AT seeing pictures of your freinds AND I GET TOTALLY PISSED OOFF SEEIng Girl Friends pictures who Like prog! i feel very alone, and i wich there was somebody i could atually talk to in person who actually is inftterested..... it is the worst... |
