I've only listened to Crisis, What Crisis? once (about 3 weeks ago) and found it a fantastic album, so I'd would probably want to include a track or two from it, but need to listen a couple more times... that said, here's what I have.

1 Rudy
2 Crime Of The Century
3 School
4 Fool's Overture
5 The Logical Song
6 Asylum
7 Even In The Quietest Moments
8 Child of Vision
9 Breakfast In America
10 From Now On

and Bloody Well Right and Take the Long Way Home are just under the radar.

and that from one who has always considered Breakfast as their masterpiece.. oh it was.. but Crisis was the next best thing they did.

"Prog-lite" is a fair characterization. And many (myself included) are no big fan of much of their sentimental-ish pop material (like "Give A Little Bit" or "Hide in Your Shell")

And yet... Some of their proggier stuff (including most of "Crime of the Century") is just masterful! They get into musical/emotional subtleties that no other band (that I know of) does.

But, in the end, its still a matter of personal taste.

Got an original vinyl of Crisis...I'll knock the dust off and spin it before bedtime. My actual 'favorite' by them is Even In The Quietest Moments...Fools Overture is their best track.. period...imo qualifies as prog(even has some Floydian overtones). Wink
Btw..there is an interesting track called 'Try Again' on the very first one (the 1st lp  has early Genesis moods)...when they had Palmer (same Palmer who wrote lyrics for KC and has worked with Wetton) and Millar. Many years ago that's the one I played the most since it came out in '70.
I have always thought Crime was overrated.....

Oddly enough Crisis never really resonnated with me (or maybe not as much as it should have)... Too many twee or over-precious moments. In any case, I don't view it as a must-have (and I don't, though a lot of it is in my CDr compilation), like their debut, Crime, Moments & Brother.

As for BIA, it didn't resonnate much either, partly  because overly succesffull,  but it closes in a grandiose fashion.

^Crisis was my gateway album to the Tramp and always my "private crush"--and I was sorely disappointed when they played absolutely zero songs from it on their Breakfast in America tour.

And "Try Again" almost made my list. I like those first two albums a lot! But, I have to admit, Crime is just a pure masterpiece--seemless start to finish--and what a start, what a finish!

I don't know about a Supertramp Top 10, but I know that "Bl**dy Well Right" is one of the most irritating songs I've ever heard, from anyone. Stern Smile

I like the Supertramp song that begins, "Take a look at my girlfriend, she's the only one I've got" or something like that, which I believe is on the Breakfast in America album. I couldn't possibly come up with a Top 10 list though, not unless I choose all of the songs from Breakfast in America, which happens to be the only Supertramp album I've listened to, apart from their Greatest Hits album. I will listen to all of Supertramp's albums eventually though. Wink

What's wrong with spelling "bloody"? Is it offensive?

Such a fun song, I don't know how it can irritate anyone. Confused

Yes, it's a funny song as a novelty record, but unfortunately, it's usually novelty songs that are the most irritating of all. Do you remember the godawful "Birdy Song" by The Tweets? Ouch

I thought we may not be allowed to say "bl**dy" in the forums, seeing as we're not allowed to mention the Lincolnshire town of S****thorpe. Tongue

Just take my word for it that we're not allowed to mention S****thorpe. I mentioned it in one of my album reviews once and the offending letters were asterisked out, seriously. Smile

Pretty much anything on Breakfast In America really. Not a bad song in sight. Crime of The Century is also great. (The Eye Of The Storm by Roger Hodgson would easily be my 3rd favourite 'Supertramp' album.)

1. Child Of Vision
2. Crime Of The Century
3. Logical Song
4. Take The Long Way Home
5. Goodbye Stranger
6. Gone Hollywood
7. Dreamer
8. Hide In Your Shell
9. School
10. Fool's Overture

Me before reading the comments in this thread: "I can contribute, I like Supertramp. I know plenty of their songs."
Me after reading the comments: "I know nothing about Supertramp."

Here's my contribution:
1. Breakfast in America
2. Give a little bit
3. Logical Song
4. Dreamer
5. Goodbye Stranger
6. Take the long way home

Bloody marvelous. Nearly made it to 7...

1.  Just A Normal Day
2.  Child of Vision
3.  Take The Long Way Home
4.  Try Again
5.  School
6.  Bloody Well Right
7.  Fool's Overture
8.  Waiting So Long
9.  Brother Where You Bound
10.  No Inbetween

(10 of my favorites by them... but this was a tough one, as I have difficulty separating any tracks out of Crime of the Century.  The entire album is, in my opinion, "perfect" - and realistically my top 8 Supertramp songs would be the 8 tracks of Crime of the Century... 9 would be Just a Normal Day, and 10 would be Waiting So Long.)

01. Rudy
02. Maybe I'm A Beggar
03. Crime of the Century
04. Waiting So Long
05. Words Unspoken
06. Even In The Quietest Moments
07. Better Days
08. Fool's Overture
09. Brother Where You Bound
10. Just Another Nervous Wreck

The solo in the end of Waiting So Long is just marvelous. Unfortunately obscured by the general output of the rest of the album.
