August 6th, 1945, 08:14 A.M. and 45 seconds
World War II is underway. It is morning in a Japanese town. The city is of military and industrial importance but is not considered a primary target in the conflict since it consists mainly of only civilians.
All the people are living their normal life. Thousands are heading off to work, the children are playing in a park or going to school. A plane is flying over the area. It doesn't look like a bomber and it is flying solo since the anti aircraft alarm is not active. It is a beautiful day, the sky is clear and the sun is shining.
Suddenly, however, something incredible happens: a second sun appears, a sun that releases an extreme light that, with a tremendous explosion, dazzles and destroys everything. The city is Hiroshima , the day is August 6th, 1945 . The time is exactly 08:14am and 45 seconds.
Who is Sadako?
Sadako is a small girl who lives in Hiroshima.
She was in the park with her brother, just a few kilometers from where the detonation happened. The day the bomb went off she was two years old. The shock wave catapulted her in the air.
Sadako and her brother survived both the explosion and the radiation poisoning. Radiation caused disease and deaths after the bombing to about 20% of those who had survived the explosion. At the end of 1945 the number of people killed in Hiroshima and Nagasaki is estimated to have been around 200,000.
What are the thousand paper cranes?
Sadako became a strong and athletic young girl. At the age of eleven, after a sports competition, she started to feel unwell. She was diagnosed with a serious form of leukemia which was a consequence of the radiation released by the bomb. This really was an unnecessary price to pay, both silent and malicious, and inherited from that distant day.
Whilst in hospital, she was told about an ancient legend and story.
According to this legend whoever manages to create a thousand paper cranes with origami would have their wish come true .
So, during all of those months in hospital Sadako made 644 cranes, with all sorts of types of paper. Soon after that however, she passed away and her image became one of the most powerful symbols of peace.
The missing cranes were finished by her many friends.
Two statues are dedicated to Sadako, one in Hiroshima (Japan) and one in Seattle (USA), and every year hundreds of people fold thousands of cranes for her.

"Fans and critics will love this opus, which I believe not only surpasses the previous gem but will be the 2020 album of the year for many. The cranes have been folded. Prog does not get much better than this!"

Il sarto (The tailor)
Leave behind for a few moments the cold anguish of a cruel evil that consumes the body little by little, and float gently in the enchanted stasis of a dream, in which weave delicate fantasies and entrust them to the deep waters of their desires.

Writing songs and tying them to historical events requires awareness and respect, especially if the theme talks about destruction, suffering and thousands of innocent deaths. 'Sadako e le mille gru di carta', based on the life of the little Japanese girl and the well-known legend of origami, stands as a clear message of PEACE; a clear and firm stance against all forms of violence. By consequence of this message, the album has been declared of interest by various, even not closely related to music; one of those surprised the band and made the Logos proud of what was done, comes from the Hiroshima Peace Museum, a symbolic place erected to eternal memory of what happened in the city on August 6th, 1945. Seventy-five years after the bomb, LogoS sent the museum a copy of the album that will be exposed: having its own music in a souch important page in our history can only fill the band with pride. We thank the museum and all the people who appreciated our commitment to build and instill the project of the due respect.
#peace #nomorehiroshima
Please support the band; buy the album and spend a pleasure weekend ;)

Hi, Third review of the album. Thank you Octopus-4
If you have in mind the classic RPI, this is what you can expect from this album: keyboard driven epics of the kind that unfortunately bands like PFM today seem to have become unable to write.
Get a listen to the album on Bandcamp or your favourite streaming service. CDs should be arrived at your favourite records store now. If not jump to our Bandcamp page and order your copy!

Sadako has arrived in Hiroshima.
Great amazement and wonder in admiring Atomic Bomb Dome and our album together in a photo. Our dream is to be there one day all together, striking the bell with a prayer for world PEACE.

Another Picture at Peace Memorial Park in Hiroshima: Children's Peace Monument
Ten years after the atomic bombing of Hiroshima, children were dying one by one from unexplained blood diseases.
Sadako Sasaki, an active and athletic girl, was diagnosed with leukemia at the age of 11. Believing in the legend that "If you fold a thousand cranes, your hope will come true," she chased after the cranes, but she died when she was 12 years old.
This statue was the brainchild of one of Sadako Sasaki's classmates and was installed with donations from Japanese elementary, junior high and high school students.

Marica Fasoli is a contemporary painter. She has received acclaim from the most renowned Italian critics and museums, and has exhibited her successful origami series all over the world, from Rome to Paris, and Miami to New York.
"In my works I want to represent precisely the life cycle, starting from an origami to get to what is left of it after deconstructing it, prompting the observer to a deep reflection on creation and destruction, on birth and death, in a continuous cycle that repeats itself.
Combining ethics and aesthetics, this is the goal of my work."

Having listened to this albums a few times now, I'm really impressed. There are a lot of albums I love that I don't really of catches my brain too fast. Sadako e le mille gru di carta somehow immediately got recognized by my brain, and while listening, it feels like I'm putting on an album I've been listening to for years. This will be one of my favorite albums of 2020 and in my view doesn't have a single weak track.
I have never gotten into RPI, but this album changed that and I now have a job before me to go through other highlights from the genre.
Zaini di elio could hold it's own as a closing track of the album, but that was not to be as another epic, Sadako e le mille gru di carta, comes around and delivers a 21 minute superb finale.
I know of L'Enigma Della Vita and LogoS has managed to produce another stunning record to follow it up. If you like RPI or not, this is something I'd recommend to anyone.
Bravo!

Another little girl named Sadako.
The Japanese girl in this photo is called Sadako. It was taken in 1948 in Hiroshima by Koji Kanemoto's father.
The baby is not Sadako Sasaki. Many sites and blogs report this information incorrectly. Let's hope the record is a way to clarify this historical "misunderstanding".
LogoS thanks Sadako, Koji Kanemoto and the whole family to let the band to use the photo. Do you know where it is in our artwork?

Perhaps it may seem obvious to listeners that music should be available in any format, for independent bands it's not a joke at all. In indie terrain every move must be mathematically predicted and the vinyl edition of L'enigma della vita in 2014 was a big leap into the dark for LogoS. Vinyl was back on the market, of course, but they weren't as fashionable as they are today. An investment in terms of image and quality that we remember as one of the many challenges won by the band!
Many wrote asking for the LP edition of 'Sadako e le mille gru di carta'... What are we going to do? Shall we do it?! Do you want it? 🤔 😛

For the printing of the vinyls we have chosen two colors. Color also wants to characterize and further strengthen the story and the message that we have told you in these months.
LIMITED CRYSTAL. Anna and Gaia are two little girls and the main characters of our "videoART". They told the world the story of “Sadako Sasaki”, with the simplicity, beauty and purity that only children can give back.
Their eyes and soul can only have one color: "Crystal" and transparent.
On August 6, 1945, many children lost their lives. Their cry and their tears will forever ring in our minds.
We dedicate this limited edition to them. Transparent like a child's eyes, transparent like a child's soul.
Tomorrow will open the PRE-ORDER and we will show the STANDARD, which will not be the classic black.

We spend some words on our Standard BLUE DIAMOND, double vinyl edition. BLUE represents the sky in which Sadako would have liked to fly her cranes. A wish for all of you; let hope, peace and joy fly in your skies.
We don't need a black sky, so, standard edition is BLUE.
Yesterday we told about the LIMITED edition: it includes a poster and a DVD; some words on these next days.
Lot of you wrote us in these months asking for the album in vinyl... here it is :) PRE-ORDER is open. We can't believe how many feedback and appreciations we got with this album.
We hope your skies are blue, your days bright and clean as crystal. Transparent like a child's eyes, transparent like a child's soul.
