The Beatles were and are massively influential on countless artists and bands.  Their influential style and sound can be heard in many songs over the last 55 yrs.

What songs can you think of that best show the influence of the Beatles?

I think the following are pretty good examples:

Four Seasons In One Day - Crowded House
Sowing the Seeds of Love - Tears for Fears
Shine - Take That
Baby Britain - Elliott Smith
When I was a Boy - Jeff Lynne

Your turn......

No, I know how to behave in the restaurant now, I don't tear at the meat with my hands. If I've become a man of the world somehow, that's not necessarily to say I'm a worldly man.

Oasis are the most notorious example that comes to my mind immediately. Don't Look Back in Anger certainly has some Beatles vibe about it.

I think the whole Britpop scene of the '90s had the Beatles written all over it.

I'd recommend Klaatu if you're looking for some proggy-sounding Beatle-esque Pop/Rock. Smile

I'd also pick a Danish band like The Broken Beats. I think some of their songs are quite Beatles'que.

The trouble is that the music was mostly sh*t.
