As for myself, no, I don't have a fursona or anything like that.
But, I'm not averse to nor would I ever intentionally stigmatize nor am I prejudiced against those that do.

I moved this thread to general discussions as there seems to be little prog to be found in the subject
I love fur myself but preferably on a cat or hounddog prepared for snuggling. I did own a Garfield costume as a teen but sadly stopped fitting when I discovered beer.

Unless by being a "furrie" one means a fan of Super Furry Animals, , which actually is in Prog Related http://www.progarchives.com/artist.asp?id=1794" rel="nofollow - http://www.progarchives.com/artist.asp?id=1794 One might say that it's proggish in a rather furry way.

While I'm hardly hirsute, I'd sooner describe myself as a fluffy (I haz a fluffy), but not a fluffer, than a furry. I do quite like Super Furry Animals though.

I'm a furry creature and I like Super Furry Animals, so I suppose I qualify.

I don't understand the question and I don't understand the reference to ":33", but I do like the Super Furry Animals. Smile

Perhaps you don't have furry conventions near where you live. A few months ago someone gave my a brochure advertising the Vancouver Furry Convention -- VancouFur as it's called. I had thought that I might like to dress up as a zombie furry last Halloween, but then that might be insensitive to furkin, not to mention to zombies (a type of dead fur cultural appropriation - PETA does say "fur is murder").

Here's the wikipedia page on furry fandom culture: [ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Furry_fandom" rel="nofollow - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Furry_fandom

I too don't have a fursona, or furkin, but I'm open to trying new things.

I'd seen this before:

And ":33" would be some sort of text emoticon, I would guess, perhaps pertaining to furry culture -- perhaps a fox? Yeah, it looks foxy to me. Dog is often written as :o3

Compare :33 to

EDIT: I'm not bringing politics into this, but I thought this was quite something or other. It's a petition to get Donald Trump to become a furry.

I appreciate the diversity of the Prog community, be they furries, fluffies, baldies, smoothies...

EDIT: Even worse with typos and things today than usual -- I'm typing like a Staffordshire Bull Terrier with a stutter.

That drunken Garfield is still of interest to the police in certain parts of Denmark, so I heard.

The band I have seen live more than any other I think - maybe seven times?  Each one a killer performance.

I'd love to see the band live.   Double-furry-billed with The Banana Splits would be an added bonus.

Oh! I use :33 as an emoticon! The double 33s are based on the periodic number of Arsenic (which is 33?), which is found in Catnip. So, with usually the cat emoticon within the community being ':3', I used the catnip 33 as the mouth???

Oh Nepeta (AC), I have a child into Homestuck and have thought I might read the webcomic at some time (we have some of the physical copies at home). Thanks for explaining.
