Most of the time poll here have some kind if theme (same band, same year, sub genera...)
This one is just some random prog gems. No real common theme.
I picked one each from the "Big 6" for this poll...

Too strong a choice to be random really... very hard. I vote Sheep on the mood of the day.

All great songs. Went with The Barbarian for today. Give ELP some 'elp.

The damage that we do just goes on and on and on but not long enough.

I tried to pick songs that would match up well with each other so yes, not totally random. Wink
I haven't even  voted yet, not sure what I want to pick.

I would definitely say this feels pretty “random,” though I see your point. I went with Yes because fanboy.

This is one case where I can pick another song over a King Crimson song.  "Sheep" is the best one on this list for me.

The Barbarian
"Fly + Melody" would've been a different story

Two random guys agreed to shake hands. Just Because. They felt like it, you know. It was an agreement of sorts...a random agreement.

Fly on a windshield  easily for me---one of the best songs on an amazing album and Steve's playing is just sublime. Have listened to so many versions of it and still love it.

tough to choose but Wakeman's pipe organ and Squire's killer bass line win's out.

I dig most of the songs on this list, but the nod goes to Fly on a Windshield.

All are great songs, with different moods, so it's hard to choose. "To Cry You a Song" and "One More Red Nightmare" stand a little above the others, just because I heard them quite recently, but I love them all.

There's a reason those four bands constitute the so-called Big Six: they are all awesome!!!

Going with Pink Floyd on this one...

I love Sheep but I had to vote for To Cry You a Song because it's my favorite song on Benefit.

One more red nightmare for me easily...

2. Fly on a windshield - The Barbarian
3. Sheep
..

The two sections with the guitar arpeggio are like traversing a tunnel with lights coming in... and the saxo lines on top of that are just genius; they really achieve some sort of effect there!

And the strong riff and bruford's drums... superb. For me a 10 out of 10 song on an album that is of my favorites of KC.

A no doubter: Fly On A Windshield by Genesis: wonderful vocals, great tension between dreamy part and bombastic eruption, inventive drums, majestic Mellotron choirs and violins, topped with howling volume pedal driven runs, goose bumps, one of the highligths on TLLDOB, and in prog history!

Red Nightmare caught my eye until I saw Sheep, a masterpiece, one of their best.

'Barbarian' and 'To Cry'...are 2 of my favorite songs of all time........really tough choice.....so I flipped a coin and 'To Cry' won.....as much as I like KC couldn't pull the trigger on it and .......

again...what is all this love for Sheep from  'Animals'..? Now...there's an overrated album.
