Living or Dead.. Who would it be, and what would you ask?

I wonder how I'd communicate with the dead....
I'd ask Christopher Hitchens (born April 13, 1949, died December 15, 2011), "Is there an afterlife?"

Do they have to be real people? I'd ask Batman if the suit chafes.
To be serious, I once met Jeff Beck at a guitar expo, certainly a hero of mine. i asked him what his favorite guitar is. He didn't hear what I said and answered, "Not usually".

Damn, that sucks.... Judging by my username, I saw Mort Sahl live 4 times, and talked to him after the show the last 3 times (although we exchanged and signed our books, as well as a CD he said he must have listened to the last time I spoke with him)... I wanted to ask him if he'd meet up with me to talk movies, etc. (without mentioning how I traveled 3,000 miles each time). But, the owner of the theater and the producer was there, so even though we spoke last for 30 minutes, it wasn't a 1 on 1.. I did ask him if he'd release some of his shows. He did mention he had some reel-to-reel, but he's 92.. I asked for a photograph, and I did ask him for sleeping tips (since I know he's also an insomniac).

I can say without a doubt that my musical hero is the late Helmut Koellen. Though an incredibly sensitive and painful issue, I would have to ask him, was your death accidental or suicide?

I'd ask Einstein if he has played a game of dice with God.

I'd probably say something like when Chris Farley played the talk show host on SNL. Me: "Do you remember when you played that impossibly fast and funky bass line while simultaneously singing on The Big Money?" Geddy Lee: "Yeah. Uh- huh." Me: "That was awesome."

When I was growing up, Pete Rose was definitely one of my heroes. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pete_Rose if you’re not familiar with him.) So, if I were to meet him, I would dramatically ask, “why? Why, Mr. Rose?” Or maybe, sniffling a bit, “how could you?”
So now I don’t really have heroes!

Hi,
I don't know ... I don't feel so empty inside that I have to have a hero or God to help me along, and would rather not even consider a whole lot in that area.
But some special folks, I would say Chuck Jones (Bugs and Daffy) and Spike Milligan ... I'm not sure that anything I asked would make any sense to them ... even making carrot jokes, or trying to excite Spike with some joke or another, when he might enjoy doing a child story instead ... which I would gladly help him start and continue on!
After that? Ask Guy Guden to get on the stage and act some more ... he was a magnificent actor, but used up his talent doing voices and having a riot on radio and forgot his really special gift ... he might have given up because he really wanted to do film ... and his best? Made Steve martin look like trash in doing Closeau ... no one could do Closeau better than Guy, except Peter!
Nothing else matters to me at all ... I think I have heard all the music the universe has to offer, and all the literature and art ... it all now feels like there is nothing new under the sun or over the rug, except dust!
------------- Music is not just for listening ... it is for LIVING ... you got to feel it to know what's it about! Not being told! www.pedrosena.com

------------- No, I know how to behave in the restaurant now, I don't tear at the meat with my hands. If I've become a man of the world somehow, that's not necessarily to say I'm a worldly man.

I, at any rate, am convinced that Einstein does not play dice with a metaphorical God, even if it also metaphorical dice.

It was bittersweet, but I saw Mort Sahl four times (twice in 2014, twice in 2016). The first time, I gave him my first book and first CD, autographed, and he autographed the autobiography I had of his, with a nice message. The next three times I talked to him, but the REAL question I wanted to ask was something to the extent of "Could we meet for lunch, anywhere, anytime?" - but the owner of the theater and the producers were in the green room, and I was quite nervous, and quite Xanaxed out... My regret is that he's 92, and I doubt I'll ever visit California again -- too far.
