the song provided by progarchives by Samla Mammas Manna reminded me of Camel. (am I the only one?)

Experience Meter: out of their 61 songs, i've only heard the one provided on the site.

That's because the song on PA is RUBBISH and is nothing like proper Samla Mammas Manna.

I would not say it's rubbish. maybe it isn't representative for SMM  because it is composed by Greg Fitzpatrick and not by the band members.

I have nothing against Camel btw, and yes there is a similarity.

Hmm.. that changed my perspective on the band. The Swedes never cease to amaze me.

I have the same feeling with a lot of bands. A lot. Lots of them. Lots. There are very few original bands. I don't care much for influences, but when somthing could be the product of someone else's musical work, I just don't buy it.

Hey! Don't go thinking that Samla Mammas Manna have ANYTHING in common with Camel! That's a real chalk and cheese scenario!
