i mean, it would be very interesting and useful a database of all the bands members that have been included in progarchives.com, in order to relate the bands where they have been playing in, for instance

what do you think about it?

This would be useful for people like Tony Levin who have been in zillions of bands (or at least contributed live or studio work).   It would be a serious bitch to compile though.

Guy Evans of VdGG is another guy who was all over the place (Mother Gong, Echo City, the British Amon Düül, the Long Hello, solo Peter Hammill and some more obscure projects, like "Tarka the Otter" by Hari Williamson)

well, although it would be horrible to compile such all information, the work would be finaliy worth. i have never seen anything like a "members index" or something similar in the internet.

the problem is that i don't think anyone has freetime enough to do this

Impossible to do. Really, too much work, even if everyone here was doing it.
