I tend to listen most to the stuff that I have acquired recently, and as Art Zoyd have put out 17 CDs of new/unreleased music in 2017/18, they surely have the top spot over the last 18 months or so.
Followed by Pinback, and then probably my other fav prog musicians: Can, Cardiacs, King Crimson, Kate Bush, Talk Talk. Maybe North Sea Radio Orchestra, Pink Floyd. Next non-prog entries should be Foals, Joe Jackson, Hidden Orchestra.

The Rippingtons have been around for about 30 years and have over 20+ albums (with a new one coming out in about two months). They are associated with (quick cover your eyes) smooth jazz. Founded by a hell of a guitarist named Russ Freeman. He writes most of the material they perform. During the hey day of smooth jazz (early to late 90s) they were arguably considered the best in the category. If you have an opened mind toward music then they are definitely worth a listen.

I have over 1600 albums in my collection so there isn't a particular artist that I listen to given a couple of weeks. Having said this I am going through 1996 and mixing it in with my latest 100 which is mostly stuff from 2018 and 2018. Sooo... it's all about enjoying it all. 10? really??? I can't limit myself to 10. However, I will make an attempt.

There's no single band I hit every couple of weeks...I have over 1200 albums and try to make it a point to spread my listening around. In fact, I recently accomplished my goal of listening to 1000 different albums all the way through at least once between 1/1/18 and 12/31/18
Anyway, if I extend the requirement out to bands I listen to at least once every month there's only 5 that make the grade:
VDGG/PH solo
Crimson
Genesis
Ange
Beatles

That's what some say, but when you get into them you realize Ange has their own sound. If pressed to make a comparison, I find their 70's albums much more similar to early VDGG than Genesis

I’m doing ok all things considered. Been trying to recoperate after some horrendous slipped disks in my back - music has (almost) kept me sane. Don’t worry about the lacking prog quotient though. Take a look at the listening thread where brilliant prog connoisseurs seem to have caught the 80s thrash bug. There are similarly equally many into modern stuff that many a times lies on the cusp of prog. If you need some new albums to check out that both are listed here on PA yet doesn’t sound like Genesis teaming up with a 90s heavy metal producer, well then just speak up. Lots of great music being produced right now.

Actually a variation of this response. Been a while since I listened to that Oranssi Pazuzu one myself, and it’s quite the monster. Love the primal rhythmic drive of it - in places it even reminds me of Krautrock.

Rock Music:
Van der Graaf Generator
Can
Embryo
Hawkwind
Magma
Amon Düül 2
Tangerine Dream
Gong
Guru Guru
Nektar
Classical (in a broad sense):
Johann Sebastian Bach
Claude Debussy
Maurice Ravel
Ludwig van Beethoven
Igor Stravinsky
Franz Schubert
Robert Schumann
Carlo Gesualdo
Antonin Dvořák
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
With
some of these composers I concentrate on certain works and avoid
others; for example with Mozart I concentrate on his operas, his piano
compositions and his string quartets but avoid his symphonies (with the
exception of KV 550, one of his two G minor symphonies).
As usual these lists could look differently at any other time.

Nice listing ... surprisingly there are a lot of things that are also common for me, although I generally do not like to make these lists because tomorrow I will hear something else by a group called Bald Angels and I will love it dearly to the end of my time! Who knows? And for me the PAST is not an indicator of the best music ... as was the case in our time and generation, a lot of the music we came up with is top notch and gets quite valuable presence and reverence here.
Rock/jazz music ...
Amon Duul 2
Tangerine Dream
Van der Graaf Generator (although this could easily turn into PH albums only!)
Can
Hawkwind
Guru Guru
Caravan
Vangelis
Egberto Gismonti
Keith Jarrett
For classical music, I like too many things going as far as Albinoni. I'm not a great fan, of what I call the "mechanical and numerical" style of music for the next 200 to 300 years until Mozart bent it sideways!
Puccini
Stravinsky
Debussy
Mahler
Britten (same birthday)
... and (of course!) just about anyone that Ken Russell gave us such incredible visuals! And "MAHLER" is one of his films that I really like. And that ending is just heart crushing ... he wrote a symphony for her, and she left! So sad ... and the music ... wow! His "ELGAR" is also magnificent.

Been a while since I listened to anything really regularly. I tend to cycle things in and the new things phase out the old until I've spent a while away from the old and I cycle that back in. It's not an intentional process, just constantly trying to hear new things or hear old things in a new light.
------------- Porg for short. My love of music doesn't end with prog! Feel free to discuss all sorts of music with me. Odds are I'll give it a chance if I haven't already! :)

Some great lists here!
For me, it goes in cycles, and I go off venturing on little musical expeditions into different genres. Progarchives still requires a LOT of mining for me. Look at all of those band names! If I listened to one artist per day, would I make it through the list before I croaked?

And been returning to Giorgio Morroder and Karl Orff quite a lot of late.
Since I posted this it has been Serge Gainsbourg and Stereolab that I have listened to the most, along with Pram and the Cardigans and various 90s to early 2000s art pop.

Genesis
King Crimson
Led Zeppelin
Mike Oldfield

Just nine and even that might be a stretch in case of Sabbath/Zeppelin. I tend to come back to certain artists/bands in a "year" cycle, i.e. Jethro Tull during summer comes up very, very rarely, event though I listen to it like crazy in cold season.
