Hello,

We are a Polish band called LSA.

The LSA is:
Anna Klebus/Aulena/Siren - her experience on stage began with her performing actor’s and cabaret songs. She holds a diploma in opera singing. She debuted as a folk singer in a soundtrack to a film about the Podlasie region. She worked together with Fils de Estoiles making a guest appearance in French psybient albums Out In Orbit and Le Voyage Introspectif. Currently she cooperates with an ethno-jazz band Sarakina Balkan Band, giving live music performances and appearing in the Balkatron album. She specialises in the Balkan folk music. Her achievements include the 1st prize in an international competition World, Art and Sea (2016) in the folk solo category.

She sings on 4 tracks.

In the LSA “Stories album she performs traditional songs from different cultures and vocalises using various ethno-style techniques.

Marek Wyrwas /Lunar Synth – keyboards, cello, flutes, gunzheng, percussion, saxonet, saz, classical guitar. In 2014 he released the CD “Future City” (as LUNAR SYNTH).

Grzegorz “Sencha Atta” Leczkowski – guitars, basses, keyboards, loops. Mix, mastering & production. In 2011 Grzegorz played guitar on Wojciech Szadkowski’s (well known from his COLLAGE band) - Travellers project “A Journey Into the Sun Within”. The the record received good reviews all over the world.

Now we are trying to create something new. Mixed acoustic, traditional and electronic/electric instruments give a new dimention to our music J

First track apart, I hear a lot of Pink Floyd influence (before Dark Side).
The ethnic parts are Eastern with a Greek/Hebrew touch, correct me from wrong.
Not easy to classify in a subgenre, but I'll buy your album when at home.

Looking at this site's definition of subgenres (from the home page), which one do you think fits better?

Hi Octopus,
Thank you :)
On Bancamp there is about uor texts, but I'll put here some more too :)

About lyrics:
1.
„Rado” - the vocal part is based on the Bulgarian folk song „Vecheray Rado” from the montainous Rodopi region located in the south part of Bulgaria. The first part includes a request of a date with a girl named Rada. The last one says „I was wandering around and knocking on people's doors as well as on yours”.

4. Zoriushka” - a traditional old Russian song which probably comes from Siberian Cossacks. It is a song traditionally sung to brides-to-be. The quoted part depicts sunrise and sunset indicating that life in general follows a certainpattern.

6. „Kalina” includes two polish folk songs from Podlasie region „Oj, chtoz tam po sadu chodył” and „W konci seła”. This kind of spring songs from Podlasie region usually describe love between young men and women. Both songs have the same heroine – a girl called Handzia. In the first sond she meets a boy Ivanko in an orchard in the early hours of the morning. The meeting ends with broken branches of a tree called „kalina” (viburnum)

and trampled flowers. In the other song, boys in the village all argue over Handzia.

7. Mirror”  - the contemporary yet inspired by folk music lyrics enter into a dialogue with folk tradition. It calls for the folk tradition to embrace individuals whose experiences so far have been excluded.
Musically - there are a lot of inspirations :)
Each of us is from different worlds, but we have found the meeting point :)

Best regards :)

Thanks. Anyway, we have evaluation teams for each subgenre.
Knowing which one fits better would simplify the things.

Sure, I understand, but it is difficult for us to put our music into the box with a name...
I've checked all the genres.
I think the closest are:
Prog Related
Eclectic Prog
Prog Folk.....
And... As Kate Bush sang "Please, be kind to my mistakes" ;)
& HELP! (like The Beatles) us.

Hey this all sounds very promising + Anna Klebus has an amazing voice! Quite mesmerizing. Seems like she's very profilic and I guess maybe not available for LSA as a fulltime member?

I personally think your band could fit in both Prog Folk or perhaps Indo Raga... the folk/world parts is what stands out as your signature sound. I got to admit that I also think you're much better at the folk/ethnic style (that fortunately dominates the album) than the conventional rock-parts with fuzzy guitars and straight forward drumming. Sorry about that... I still enjoyed the album for the most part.

She is rather "featuring" .
We wanted only "Kalina" to be a song, in the beggening, but then she sang more & we were suprised, how beautiful it is in the end....
What will happen in the future, time will show :)
And about music...
For us each piece is a kind of story. A Journey. Not a song in a traditional Way, when some parts are repeated... It is a kind of evolution. There are so many view outside the window during travelling...
